I went on a roll 3 times in a row after resetting like mad because I couldn't score the 5000 bonus points in the first stage. I didn't get a wand at all (so my score could definitely be beat) I wish I would've gotten a wand in the second stage (Which is the only time I feel like it helps) but they are so random. Good luck to everyone else I'm officially bowing out after this score. I'm sure I'll probably get sniped but the scores this week were crazy. It was not this intense in 2014 and it's awesome to see so many people at 170+

I have been trying to let my hands recover after playing so much this week, but it looks like I'll be doing some more resetting later. Oh, I won't take it personal. Best of luck. I was super proud of those scores because I had zero wands. The 175 score I put up earlier in the week I had 1 wand on stage 2. Wish I would've been that lucky today. Also, at this point my thumb looks like raw meat. I just don't think I have many more games in me.
I honestly hope somebody tops me. This is the only game I play in the contest and it's just becasue I grew up playing it so much with my sister and dad. My Dad even used (45) which still blows my mind to this day. They were both better than me (At least as a kid).
Wow! I am very honored to be a finalist for the NA contest Hall of Fame and to be named along side some of the best NES players period! Frankly I don't see how I get inducted first ballot because I can pretty easily build an argument for every other nominee to be inducted ahead of me. But just being a part of this is beyond cool. I very much look forward to seeing who makes it in and how it's all decided. :-)
As far as Marble Madness goes, there's no way I'm going to get anywhere close to the Top 8 here. I'm not going to even bother posting my 129K score from the other day. I've only put in 8-9 attempts this week and can't keep myself from dying all the time. =P

I guess I'm too conservative of a player for this game. You have to speed run it. It seems that to get the best times you have to be able to hold in the A button and negotiating narrow platforms and tight turns at full speed without making mistakes and I just can't. I fuck up when I try. So I'm too slow to reach the ultimate race with 99 seconds without wands. Then that last section of the ultimate race is really hard when you're trying to do it all in one go.
I doubt I'll improve my score unfortunately. Previous Marble Madness contests it would have been good enough for 5th place at least.
Without wands I can usually start the aerial race with between 91 and 94 seconds. I've watched videos and I still don't know how people can get 99 seconds for aerial without wands. I see people reaching the green wave section in the intermediate race before the waves start and I don't even know how that is possible.

Did you know that you can get 5k for a single jump on the first level? With the end of level bonus, you are almost half way there in the first level. Also one of the buttons makes you move faster.

I am all set to suffer through Ice Hockey next week. That pad is the worst.
