They don't really have a huge retro selection going. It rises and falls, but at any given time they have maybe 10-20 NES games, and around the same for SNES/N64. They have a really weird pricing system; like a SNES controller is $26, an NES controller is $18... NES Classic controllers are $15... Lots of stuff is overpriced. Sometimes though they'll have something good hanging around.
Realistically I think their prices are roughly what you'd expect from a video game store in Toronto. Definitely not worth coming into the city for if you don't live here.
eh, I'll stick with A&C if I'm down there. At least they have a good selection for their high prices. Thanks for the tip!
Hi all. I've made the rounds of the Maryland stores - got some updates for those - and I'd like to add one in Vermont (!), three in Pennsylvania, and one in West Virginia I've personally visited.
MARYLAND
Back to the Media, Williamsport, is closed.
Collectors Corner, Baltimore, is a comic book store and does not carry video games.
Nostalgia Games, Rockland, is actually in Massachusetts, not Maryland.
Power Gamer, Glen Burnie Mall, also has a location in Reisterstown, MD.
Press Start Video Games, Hagerstown, is closed.
Retro Underground, The, Cumberland is closed.
Retrospect Games, Frostburg, is now a Cartridges Galore location.
Time Warp Media, Sykesville, Ellicott City, is closed. I think they had to close due to the floods in Ellicott City that wiped out most of the historic district.
(NEW TO LIST) Third Eye Games, 2019 West St, Annapolis - This is primarily a tabletop game store, but they'll occasionally have a few retro games in stock, and they carry the RetroN systems. Don't know if that's enough to merit adding to the list.
(NEW TO LIST) Electronic Trading Center, 16 E. High St, Elizabethtown, https://www.facebook.com/electronictradingcenter/ (This was Game Traders Club's previous location before it moved to Annville.)
Just Press Play, Lancaster, http://justpressplayonline.com/, actually has three locations around Lancaster and one location in York, PA.
I've been working on a map for some time, mostly focused on the MD/PA/VA area with a few outlying locations. Once I can get a shareable link, I'll post it. Thanks guys!
I don't know how much time it takes to update but Cloud Gaming no longer has a brick and mortar location and Neo Japan Games has opened a second location in Bayamon, PR.
Here's one that's isn't local but it's at Memphis Ave.
Video Game Connection
4824 Memphis Ave,
Cleveland, Ohio 44144
this place has all of your Retro gaming needs! Like Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Atari, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, GameGear, Wii, NES, Gamecube and many other Retro Classics!
(see it on the table XD) they have a site at videogameconnection.com

Back to the Media and Time Warp Media merged to form Media Bros. in 2016. Located in the Mall in Columbia, Columbia MD.
Awesome! I'll have to check it out, thanks. Bad news, though - GameDoc in Elkton, Maryland is closed. Looks like pretty recently, too. Drove by Saturday, and there were basically just shelves left in the store.
Thanks! I've been to Columbia several times in the last few months and haven't been. I'll try to time it right to check these guys out if I find myself there again soon.

You definitely should. They are the best store in the Midlands. Since you're obviously fairly close, where do you usually go?
I travel a lot for work and may want to hit that place up!

Next state over but still a few hours away. I'd actually never been until November. My niece came back to our neck of the woods all the way from the left coast due to her grandmother and father both developing lung cancer (!). She visited 6 months earlier and met someone from Columbia on the bus ride home. It was bittersweet, but she was excited that he was only a few hours away (relatively close). Next thing I know, they're engaged and she's staying with him now. The worsening medical issues and the death of her grandmother meant a lot of unplanned back and forth trips. Her father is back in the hospital so I'll probably be going back to get her on my next day off.
I always end up there too late to do much more than Waffle House but my twin brother (Ichinisan) got a lot of awesome finds at a couple of your flea markets a bit before Christmas! It's sad knowing that the reason I'm there is so dire but I'll try to make the most of it.
If you're ever on the south side of Atlanta, let me know!

I actually do come that way about 1-2 times a month. I usually stop in Gainesville, though.
Update for Virginia.....Cool Stuff in Chesapeake is no longer a thing....new site location is undetermined. Delete Chesapeake. Va Beach is the only store at the moment.
Pocatello, Idaho has a Fun Unlimited (a branch of the one in Logan, Utah) and 1st Person Games. I have a huge write up on them both as well as a couple more I will post in its own topic here soon, but a few quick notes.
Fun Unlimited smelled kinda funny and had terrible prices on Game Boy games and mostly had commons on everything. It is located in the Pine Ridge Mall, just off of the interstate. https://www.facebook.com/FunUnlimitedpocatello/
1st Person Games had a large store but hardly any inventory. Nice guy behind the counter who I assume is the owner and fair prices. It is located on the south side of town, near Idaho State University. https://www.facebook.com/1stpersongames/
Sad to report two closures. Power Up Games in Albany, GA has closed shop. Not sure what happened but for the last year or two it kept changing hands in weird ways and has finally shut down all together. The second is more personal as I used to work there for a little while and a really good buddy of mine owned it. Plug 'n' Play in Dublin, GA closed after 10 years in business and fighting two Gamestops in town for the last 5 or 6 years. Please adjust the list accordingly.
Good news - Games from the Grave is open in Albany, GA inside of Xion!

Been wanting to check out his wares since I saw his YouTube videos showing his flea market booth but he's pretty far away. Perhaps I'll take a road trip someday.
Media Bros at the Mall in Columbia MD is now closed. Their facebook and twitter pages seem to have been deleted so no idea if they are coming back or relocating but the Mall location is boarded up.
Edit: Also Collectors Corner in MD is a comic book store as someone else pointed out but they do carry Video games but possibly not at all 3 locations. Their main store in Pikesville Md carries games so I don't think this store should have been removed from the list. 7911 Harford Rd, Parkville, MD 21234 https://www.collectorscornermd.com

Interesting they closed, a few months after a mild NA dispute.
