I put this together, and hope it helps someone out there.
To get out of the ending unscathed, position your ship at the top of the screen, above the first number of your score. Count the bars that come out at you. I do this out loud because I'm a loser. You need to dodge the 10th bar, by moving a bit to the right. Immediately after the tenth bar, move back to the left, just a bit. Stay there for the rest of the level and you should be fine.

I'm hopeful. I wonder how his run went? A full three loops without interruptions should take about an hour and 20 minutes.
