What is your next collecting goal?

Mine is trying to finish my licensed NES set. I thought about moving to the unlicensed next, but haven't decided yet. I have also kicked around the idea of going for the Donkey Kong Comp cart, or starting on the Master system.

What is your next goal? Is it a single game, accessory, or a set of something? Just thought it would be neat to see what everybody is aiming for. If by chance you get it, come back and let us know, and tell us what your next one is.

    I have 3 current goals, 1 finish my black box collection: I need DK, Dk jr, and DK Math. Finish up my SNES RPG collection, 4 or 5 left and not the expensive ones. Complete N64 CIB US release set. That's the hard one I have about 100 so far. After that I am moving on to my saturn collection i have about 90 Saturn games.

    I like collecting trilogies, then I like CIBing them. I got to mark Double Dragon 1 - 3 CIB off my list this year. I'm missing the 3rd installments of the Adventure Island and Lolo series right now, so I think I'll shoot to try and run them down sooner than later (also missing Ikari Warriors 1 and 2... when you collect mostly in the wild, common stuff CAN be elusive).



    I'd like to finish getting all the black box carts by the end of the year... I'm down to the bigger named ones: DK, JR, DK3, Stack-up, Clu Clu Land, and the rarest of course... Baseball. image

    I just started collecting. I can thank (or curse) a member here for that. I have put off the NWCs for last though. My main goal is to get my "Top 10."  As for thr Top 10 they are the standard....F2, SE, Pans ect...Considering I am going cart only it will be easier on the pocketbook. So hopefully I will get them by my birthday next Jan.

    I already have one and working on my second. I hope to pick up the Pans at the get together in Aug.

    For my mini goal I want to finnish my MM set before I go in the hospital next week. I only need 5 and 6 LOL. However, the hunt is a lot more fun than just getting them off the bay.

    Overall I would eventually like to get the whole NES licensed and unlicensed set. So far all together I have about 60. If my husband would let me raid the NES shelf at the store I would have about 400. LOL

    My mini goals are always to fill up the section of shelf my NES carts are currently up to. Only need three or four more carts, and I'll be starting on the fourth row of the shelves. image

    Also coming closer to a little bit of a bigger goal. I'm at 177 NES games now, and closing in on 200.

    My goal is to sell off a big majority of my NES collection and then go back to the basics, games that I have played or games that I'd like to play. I'd also like to start grabbing a few more NES / SNES titles that I need, and I might start a PS1 collection as well.



    The only main jaw-dropping titles on my list of games to acquire are Little Samson and Chrono Trigger. I'm holding out for near mint / mint CIBs at a reasonable price, so at this rate it'll take me quite a long time to acquire either one. Luckily I just picked up Earthbound last week, I had that one on the list for a good 6/7 months.

    I don't think that setting a time goal on specific games is wise. You're going to end up shooting yourself in the foot.

    Finishing up my SNES NFR Collection!!! 2 More games, plus the now unconfirmed 15th. Also, get pretty far in my N64 NFR stuff. But these are both "side" goals. I just want to get further in my Boxed NES collection and also pick up a loose MBR/SR for SNES.

    getting the last 8 games I need. and then finding the time to put them all in MRN's plastic cases. and then building my shelf for them.

    -want to get all of those done, in any order that they happen in.

    Well, I'm buying a house next month so my primary goal is getting everything moved safely and setting up my first permanent game room. From a collecting standpoint, I want to finish my licensed NES set (23 to go). I'm 18 back on the unlicensed set, but it's mostly the expensive stuff. I just recently finished my CIB 32x and VB sets so I'll probably move onto SNES, INTV, or Master System next.

    Once I finish my CIB Gameboy collection (gettin' closer!), I may consider collecting sealed Gamecube games. I refuse to collect any CD based system unless they're sealed, which is why my 100+ Wii games (except the 10 or so I play) are all still sealed.

    Im about 3 games off from having all the games i'v ever beat (that I enjoyed) sealed. Hopefully I'll get them here in the next few years.

    I very much agree with this. You always end up paying too much.

    As far as collecting goal goes, my next goal is to get my loose collection to the point where I only need 100 more games, but I'll just continue to pick them off as deals come along.

    Well, I was starting to get bored cause I wanted all the stuff I used to play and enjoy playing Complete. That pretty much happened so I started collecting Black Boxes. And I've also just started collecting Gameboy and Genesis complete of games that are popular. I've also alway been picking off N64 and SNES stuff I like.

    I set 2 goals for myself at the beginning of this year.



    1) Obtain every RPG (CIB) for the Super Nintendo. This will be complete in roughly 2 weeks when Secret of Evermore arrives in the mail.

    2) Aquire 200+ CIB SNES games. I should have 200 very soon, I've been purchasing lots of common SNES recently.



    I have also just recently set a goal. I want to get every Mario Party game CIB. Should be an easy task because I now only need a box only for Mario Party 2. I may have to break down and just buy it CIB because I can't find the box anywhere.

    My two largest goals at the moment are to finish my CIB SNES collection, and GBC collection. I've been on a pretty damn big buying break lately, so I haven't added to it in a bit (trying to save some money).



    After that, I'll probably work on GB and Gamecube, which I already have a good start at (both around 100 CIBs)

    My goal right now for NES is just to get a minty CIB copy of Battletoads  and Karnov image!

    My main collecting goal now is to complete my rare game subsets for PS1. I'm gettign close to having all of the rarest games for the system, including a few HTF varaints.

    EDIT:  And find the last 3 Gamecube kiosk discs I need.  That could take me a couple years though image
