New Member with a SNES MACS

Obviously just signed up.  I live in the York, PA vicinity.

I have a SNES Multipurpose Arcade Combat Simulator M.A.C.S. and was looking for some help testing it.  It sat around in the closet for several, several years.  Hadn't played any SNES for around 40+ years ago which gives you an indication I'm with the older generation.  This is the one and only SNES item I have.  I'm not a collector but got this on a trade and after that, it sat.  I've plugged this system in recently and it appears to work but don't know how to zero it.  I was told I need a CRT TV (which I don't have) and it won't work right with a flat screen.  So if anyone in this immediate area wants to play a couple rounds, let me know and we can see if we can arrange a time to do so.

If you want some help testing it, you're going to have to at least say what state/province you're from.

Maybe he was using the base-6 number system.

  • I actually first played the NES at my bud Nikola Tesla's house. Mentioned something about an alternate power source.
  • Ok, whoever had the Dungeons and Dragons, tennis, frogger and all those games. Like I said, not a gamer, not a collector.
  • Some more photos.

  • Nice! What did you give in trade for it?
  • As I recall the deal was for a full set of mounted truck tires.
  • Welcome to NintendoAge!
  • Welcome there, buddy!
  • Welcome. Yes you need a crt tv and there is an exact distance the gun needs to be from the screen. Also a vice is recommended to help steady and calibrate. Here is some more info. This is for the Commodore version but gives you the idea

  • Thanks all for the guidance on the CRT TV. Today I had a half day off, found a CRT TV for cheap near me on CL and grabbed it.

Just came from testing the system.......drum roll please......100% working. The sights do need adjusting to bring the bullet impact down and to the left. I consistently low and to the left with the sights dead center. I did have a nice tight shot group which surprises me after years of not shooting and it's been a long, long time since I shot an AR15/M16. Victory is ours.
