is my top loader stuff unused?
I found a boxed top loader at the thrift store today (first one!)

all the parts were in the baggies and the things with wires are twist tied. have these things been used at all? I don't know how to tell if they are as originally packed or not. there's no tie on the console bag so I took it out and looked at it. it's freakin nice.

and yes, I'm showing off

How much did you pay for it?
Looks unused to me, but then again, my local Value Village uses new twist-ties and baggies on all of their controllers, and wrap the cables up nicely like that, so it could go either way.
You should go and ask to speak to the people in the back, and see if you can find the person who priced it. Ask them if it came to them like that. If it did, then it's probably legitimately unused. I doubt the person taking it to the thrift store would take the care to wrap it back up like that.
so my next question is, if some or all the pieces are new, what do I do with it? the box is worn and I didn't get any books or papers with it.
i would say unused
edit: as for what to do with it, buy the instruction manual and inserts that go with it and sell it on ebay. you cant get a new box for it, because the box and system have the same serial numbers on them.
