Hello. New Poster here.

Hello. Although I'm new to posting here, I've been aware of this site for a while and have occasionally come here to read the forums. I have collection of games from the atari 2600 to the more modern systems. While it's small by some people's standards, I like to think I have a very strong 'core' collection, and I hate buying shelf filler material. (with exceptions being made for well known historical games like ET.)

I was most active in my collecting back around '09-'11. I'm looking to get back into collecting the few games that I never managed to get my hands on (mostly because of price or owning rereleases on other systems), and make sure I stay as informed as I can concerning the way the hobby is shifting. Although I don't have anything extremely rare, I do have multiple games that are somehow pushing over 100 and even 200 dollars today.

Probably my most interesting moment in collecting came around 2002 when a local ma & pa rental store closed and I managed to get Megaman X2 and X3 for $5 each. The only problem was the rental stickers on the labels. I managed to save X2's label but X3 has some mild to severe damage in the center from it's removal.  I always saw damage like that as being done by the people who applied the sticker in the first place, and would do it again in a heartbeat, although I might have prepared more had I known what the game would cost today with a good label, ha!
