Wondering if this copy of Pokemon Blue I got is legit?

I've looked at several guides comparing fake and real version, but none of them talk about the ESRB icon. I've seen on eBay that some have the older E rating icon with a black outline, while some have a full black E (mine has this). Was this game made during the time the ESRB changed the rating icon?

Other than that my copy has all other features of an authentic copy.

Comments

  • Yes, legit copies of Pokemon Blue, Red and Yellow can have either ESRB icon.
  • Thanks. Since I made a thread I'll go ahead an post a photo too just to confirm it's legit.

  • Looks legit to me.
  • Hell that label wear is enough to make it legit.

It's funny, but I kind of prefer a little wear on games. If something looks too new/crisp, I start to doubt if it authentic and not just a really good reproduction.

I like a bit of wear, few nicks and dings on the labels. Gives it character, makes you believe that someone once played the shit out of it and enjoyed it.
  • I'm the exact opposite, I know that something that looks new/crisp will stay new/crisp for decades even when in use with me.
