Super Famicom games that you can play without knowing Japanes

Guys and Gals i'm looking for a list of Super Famicom games I can play without knowing Japanese.

Comments

  • The Parodius trilogy, Tetris Battle Gaiden, Sanrio World Smash Ball, Super Gussun Oyoyo 1 and 2, Umihara Kawase, DoReMi Fantasy, the Firemen, Godzilla Kaiju Daikessen, Super Back to the Future 2, Pop'n Twinbee, Mario & Wario, Dragonball Z Super Butoden 1-3 and Jaki Crush. Thats all I can think of right now
  • Magical pop'n, gunman proof I think is the Zelda clone shooter
  • Dossun: Ganseki Battle (awesome game!), Super Tetris 3, Super Puyo Puyo, and anything with Street Fighter in the title.
  • Obligatory mention of Little Magic

  • This guy makes videos on "English-friendly" SFC games.
  • I guess I'll be the first to say Super Metroid. For shame. Hagane has like no story so I'm sure it's fine. The Final Fight games?

We totaly never got Super Castlevania over here in America.
  • If you don't care about the story, you can pretty much play any shooter or beat 'em up. Most of the menus are pretty simplistic, containing only Start and Options, many of them have crucial parts in English anyway. I've got Sonic Wings (Aero Fighters), Akumajou Dracula X, R-Type III: Third Lightning, Darius Twin, Gradius III. Not only are all of those games English friendly enough, but the first three on my list are INSANELY cheap on Super Famicom, compared to their American counterparts.

EDIT: I thought you were simply talking about Super Famicom versions because they were cheaper than American versions. If you meant exclusives, I apologize. LOL!
  • Getting into PCE has taught me that a surprising amount of JPN only games are completely playable
  • I meant any games on the Super Famicon, don't just have to be exclusives.
  • If you like the Mario vs Donkey Kong type situational puzzle platformers, and you want an excuse to use the SNES mouse, Mario & Wario is a must have.

It is. I think he's better off playing that one in English tho.

Super Metroid. Label is cooler, has an English language option, amazing game, and half the price of its US counterpart.
  • Pretty much any popular US game is playable in Japanese, except for RPG's. Most anything thats linear will be fine as long as you don't care about the story.
