So i've been getting into collector's quest recently and it got me thinking if there were any other collecting based podcasts? I love learning about the hobby and people involved!
I really love Retronauts (http://www.retronauts.com/). It's not directly about collecting, more about retro games. However, I am constantly learning about old games I just *have* to add to my collection.
What you want to do is subscribe to everything, then pick and choose. Also it depends how much time you have a day to listen to. My list pretty much fills up my entire work day almost everyday. Anyways, subscribe to everything and unsubscribe as you listen to the podcasts you don't like. I've gotten rid of all the ones I hate but even then there are times when I get extremely annoyed by some of the podcasts I listen to.
Also interested in this. There are a few podcasts I listen to for gaming but I'd like more that focus more on the collecting side and not just the gaming aspect.
Retro Game fix is a pretty good podcast. They seem to not be as active anymore but they had a handful of amazing episodes about completing sega master system sets etc.
For a second, I thought you were collecting podcasts. While strange, I figured it wasn't impossible that someone here would be doing that.
Does anyone have a repro box for Collector's Quest? I can't enjoy it unless it's physically on my shelf.
But seriously in addition to the above, North American Retro Collective is good, although really infrequent now. RFGeneration Collectorcast is another infrequent one.
There's a TV show called Hoarders that is relevant.
Also this Giant Bomb video:
Haha, that video was awesome.
"This is my museum quality collection!"
I feel as though all of us have a little bit of "Jeff" in us, hahaha. None of us want to admit this stuff is useless, haha, and we love collecting all the junk. I'm okay with admitting it, but I don't want to get rid of it, haha. I can still play the games!

I dont haha, but I think im in the minority, I see a lot of people in real life like this guy with video games. I have only about 400 just NES and GB and even I think its weird i have that many.
Already mentioned above, but the three that I listen to are:
Collectors Quest - Johnny and Kat, podcast about game collecting.
Retronauts - Bob Mackey, Jeremy Perish and others. Huge back catalog, subject is games series and systems 10 years or older.
Nintendo Voice Chat - Peer, Jose and others from IGN. Mostly new Nintendo news, latest releases, ect.
All above are really good. A few non-gaming ones worth listening to, Talking Simpsons (a chronological looks at old Simpsons episodes, good commentary and sound bites), How Did This Get Made? (movie reviews of awful movies by funny hosts), James Bonding (funny reviews of the James Bonds Movies). A few others, but those are the main ones.

400+ games... that gets you pretty close
Haha, jokes. I know what you mean, though. Sometimes I'm like "What in the hell am I doing with all this stuff?". I can't imagine having some of the collections out there. Especially if they're like "Jeff's"... hoarders, style.

Haha i know. At least theyre not doubles or controller junk. Its legit games. But i get anxious once i get a bunch of doubles from a lot. I want em gone asap!

Haha, well that's pretty solid!
The controllers/cords are the worst! And no doubles? That's getting away from "Jeff" status, that's for sure. I applaud your bravery. I have a hard time getting rid of doubles.
What if my DD2 cart craps out on me!?!? I need a back up! Hahaha...
Retro Warriors is definitely one of my favorites, Justin and Saturn are hilarious!
I gave them a shot. Listened to the first episode on the Nintendo Play Station that popped up, but not informative or entertaining to me. Ill have to stick with Retronauts.

+1 for Retronauts they do a good job with their research for topics. It's nice that when you go back through their catalog you can easily pick the topics you are interested in because each episode is usually one thing or a specific category.
Retronauts is a really good podcast on retro games. Check that one out.
Recently, I also started listening to "Back in my play", which is also fun. More on the playing aspect than the collecting one, but still very entertaining.
I also listen every week to Nintendo Voice Chat and Game Scoop, both by IGN. They are not about game collecting, but I really like the guys there.

Same first thought I had when I saw the title; I thought it was akin to the guy that wanted the Pat podcasts or whatever from last year.
