Will I run into any long-term issues if I unplug the fan in my kiosk? It's so loud, and I'd imagine if I'm only powering it on for a few hours at a time, it won't cause any problems. But, I'd like to get some opinions before I accidentally damage my kiosk.

Thats a big depends. Are you going to be running a Wii U constantly for days at a time? If so then no. Otherwise I don't see any issues. From what it seems, its just to keep the Wii U from overheating.

If you are worried about it you could keep the clear plastic dome off of the console while you're using it. I've kept my fan off and haven't had any issues but it only ever gets played in short bursts. It is loud.
As long as you're not running it for hours at a time, I doubt it will hurt the console. And Just remove the plastic dome if you do plan on running it for a while.
I'm a bit behind but has anyone found a TV that easily fits into the Kiosk?
I found a 40" that fits perfectly as long as you don't plan to use the bezel. Requires little modification to hang it. I don't have the model number off the top of my head, but it's buried somewhere in the thread. It was only $150 new too at Best Buy which is pretty cheap for a TV that size. Plus it's nice having a slightly larger screen than the original (again you won't be able to use the bezel). The outer dimensions of the 40" TV are about the same as the outer dimensions of the bezel.

I remember seeing a pic of yours (I belive) and it looked pretty good, even without the bezel. I think the first post should be updated with the model number of the Tv's that can fit the kiosk,as it could be useful info for people in the future.

If the OP wants to do that, I can try to dig my model numbers back up.

Was on a short hiatus since I've been having internet issues at home and not having time at work to visit NA. I'm definitely willing to post info about commercial TVs used as monitor replacements in the first post. I don't have time to update this thread right now, but will later today. Table updated with new owners and component updates. Also created a section for TVs known to be drop in replacements (not needing to be decased).

LOL, I figured you'd say that. I just bought one on Ebay and the fucking package got ripped during shipping and it came out the side! I got my money back, but still! It's the only piece I'm missing from my kiosk. Everything else is completely original.

Oh man, that really sucks! It's always such a gamble with packaging. I don't know why so many people are just completely stupid and can't figure out how to mail something so it won't get damaged/fall out.
I got my first Wii U kiosk and it was missing the key, the clear cover, and the metal console tray. I managed to track down the parts from various stores within a 2hr radius (kiosks that were already being disassembled), and on the hunt, found a real nice kiosk with everything but console/controllers. It had been on hold for someone but they never showed, so basically we did them a favor by hauling it away.
Updated the thread to include a list of all things Wii U kiosk related. A one stop shop for Wii U kiosk info. Also updated the table to include new kiosk owners.
Well, I totally wasn't expecting to find a 2nd Wii U Kiosk when I drove past the Gamestop dumpster this morning. The employees at this store told me they got rid of it months ago when I was first looking for them, and yet there it was this morning. Was really lucky I drove by because we had a big rain storm a few hours after I got it unloaded.
It was pretty much intact including the monitor and sign on top (I took a lot of it apart before loading it up). Only things missing besides the system were the key, wrench, sub woofer and the metal platform the system sits on. There were even a few demo discs with it.
I will probably combine the best parts of the 2 I have to make one as complete as possible and then sell the other. I will give the updated info on them once I get everything together.
So, I just found out that I am in need of a power supply for the Wii U marquee sign up top. Does anyone know what type of power supply or where I can get one?

Following is from the 4th page of thread. There is more conversation about this if you want to find it.
"The Lynx adapter provided in the kiosk is a 12V 5A tip positive barrel plug (not sure of the exact I.D. and O.D.) DC adapter. I know you can use 3A (if powering just the lights) because that is amperage of the adapter I modded for my 1st kiosk."

Wow congrats! It's crazy there are still some out there. I thought they were all gone by now.
I'd like to throw out that if someone has wired wiimotes for this thing, I'd like to buy them. They are the last thing I need to complete my arcade upgrade/restoration. If you have a set that works and are willing to sell, please send a PM as making these things is becoming a major pain in the butt.
Hey, I picked one up. Melanie Brunngraber my member name is Mel+Link (obv) the serial number is #36, no gamepad, no wiimotes, no demo console nomonitor, i dont believe the bezel is there, I have the LED sign, no key, yes subwoofers, idk what the wrench is, yes back sign (i think), I've got a few papers but theyre jsut the ones on how to take it apart, and no demo discs. I had a pain in the ass time tryna get this in my car and outta it, down a flight of stairs and in the house...alone...and I'm 5'4 haha. But I'm glad I got one. I also just picked up an Xbox One kiosk, so look out for those!
Oh wait, is the wrench the black thing taped to the inside of the door? I might have one
Here's a better eexplanation of mine. I'm gonna include some pics as well. So it's in pretty rough shape. I'm missing the frame that the tv sits in, i think you guys called it a bezel. The LED lights work up until a point. I had dropped the whole thing trying to get it out of my car (made it fine down the while flight of stairs tho....weird right?) and so the wood frame on the top is broken as well. As for the insides, I think almost all of it is there, I've got the LYNX box that hooks up all the LEDs, the main power supply for the console itself, two smaller power bricks for the gamepad and something else, the speakers that go under the screen are here, and the big speaker inside is there as well. Als I also found the wrench, it was horribly stuck to the inside panel.
I've also got a few wires that I don't know what they are/what they hook up to. So any help with those would be appreciated. (I think they're probably mostly for the monitor but I'll describe them here)
1) Cable marked with a label "B" that has a hex nub to spin to screw the cord in, also has a little break off wire with 6 tiny holes, flat
2) the really long black and red cords (2) that plug into the subwoofer, where do they get plugged into?
3) the 2nd smaller power brick, what does that power? I've got one for the gamepad plugged in right now.
Also, does anyone know how to go about making/finding the frame for the monitor? As I dont have one
Also if anyone needs these I don't need them as I don't have the demo console, or if you just wanted them, idk. I'd also like to get my hands on a key if you're still making them SNES. And in addition to the documents photographed I also have the UPS shipping record for the Display Returns if anyone wants that

The weird part about making keys like this, is that it is a registered key. That is basically a do-not-duplicate mark on it. I brought the key to a locksmith and they said no. Im currently looking for an alternarive. I saw someone online make a key by making a mold out of silicone and then casting it using brass. Im gonna try that to see what happens if I can get a set.
Also for those out there thinking what i thought about making controllers. Not gonna be easy. Some of the wires are tied in with diodes. Meaning that they are crossing signals in a weird way.
Hey guys, thanks for all the info and help so far. This has been great. However, I am still in need of an ac adapter for the Wii U LED light up top. I ordered a generic adapter off of Amazon, but the barrel didn't fit. If anyone has a spare they could sell or info on a generic adapter that fits, that would be awesome!

Want to sell me the wrench? lol
Nope, sorry. Lol

Anyone have a cut cord from the gamepad they can part with. I got a damaged gamepad and console- looking to fix it.
