Hi, JT here from The NES Store (The NES Page)

What's up guys.

My name is JT. I am the founder of The NES Store. (UPDATE 6/13/17 - I just changed the name of the fb page to The NES Page. We get 10+ messages a day of people wanting to buy stuff. Trying to cut that out.)

I got my first NES in 1987. I started collecting NES items in 2001, trying to rebuild my collection that dwindled from childhood. By 2014 I had amassed a ton of NES stuff from buying in bulk from yard sales, craigslist and lots on eBay. So I decided to start The NES Store to sell all the duplicates and the games that I did not want for my collection; like those with label damage or less than mint condition.

I come from a web developement and marketing background.. So I built a website and facebook page to sell games online. You could buy them thru the website or FB page. In 2016 I closed up the shop basically due to running out of inventory and was hard to compete with some of the bigger retro online stores like lukiegames.com and jjgames.com, it was just easier for me to sell locally on craigslist or just list on ebay. Our website used to be thenesstore.com but when I shut down the store we did not renew the domain and also lost a lot of content. I currently host our website at nesforsale.com.

In 2017 I posted a video building a retro emulator using a damaged NES game. It went viral and is currently at 7.3 million views. Since then we've had Nintendo fans from all over the world reach out to us. We've had the pleasure of speaking with some Nintendo insiders like Joe Granato, the creator of Mystic Searchs and Founder of The New 8-bit Heroes. As I understand Dain supports these guys and is also a native of NC. I'm actually a native of NC as well and Joe and I were talking about organzing screenings here in the State for his new movie. They're currently setting up screenings around the Country for their new Documentary. You can view the trailer here.

I've got to speak with other Insiders like Rob McCallum the director of Nintendo Quest and founder of The NES Club: The Most Unofficial NES Documentay Ever.

As well as Film Maker Julien Seri who directed the Zelda promotional videos featuring the late Robins Williams and his Daughter Zelda.

Plus so many others, collectors and fans. I've been a guest over the years but thought it was time to say hello. I also have a collector who sent us some pictures over the weekend of a very early NES console Test Market System. I'll be looking for your insight about it on a different thread.

Thanks for having me.

JT
