Yeah it is a pain in the ass and expensive to go all organic, that is why. And it takes a skilled grower to do it because it isn't an exact science like chemicals are. You have to know how to compost and work on a recipe basically that will give the plants the NPK and other nutes they need. And also it has to disperse into the soil at an approrpiate rate or you can actually kill the plants with too much or too little.
You get organic stuff where you are? Is it expensive for you? A lot of people lie these days because there is no quality control
And yeah Lady bugs eat aphids and praying mantis eat just about everything else. But in indoor grows, those are not really an issue luckily. Kinda bummed because it would be badass to have an army of mantis patrolling my grow tent lol

If you smoke, and have the space and time. Go for it. It is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying it.
You have to remove a good chunk of the fan leaves if they are as bushy as mine. This is because the colas need sufficient space for air flow and also so they get adequate sunlight. The big fan leaves can inhibit bud growth. And lack of airflow can cause mold.

SO i am taking a long break and then i will just smoke once or twice a week or something and see if i can balance it. I can't sleep for shit now though.
Also at this rate, i am going to have a pound or two extra by the end of the year because i won't be smoking much
I am really hoping i have a green thumb, because when the laws get passed, hopefully in our favor, i would love to be able to make even a small amount of extra cash on the side legally.

I usually only take 2 or 3 hits/puffs at a time but I do it more often than you. I only smoke 1 joint a day. You may need to grow something more potent so it takes less? I am also a caregiver.

Well, after about 3 weeks of not smoking and starting to feel somewhat back to normal. I am probably gonna be quitting for quite some time. Maybe a joint for special occasions and such. But too much has been really messing with my body thanks to fibro and the side effects are not worth the benefits right now.
BUT the growing will continue, as i will still be growing for my dad who has crohns. Haven't decided what i am gonna do with all the extra Oz's yet though.
Day 18 flower. Buds are finally visible and forming nicely. Sticky and stinky. There are so many cola sites that i am actually in shock because if i did Low Stress Training and Topping, i would probably have double what i have here. I guess that is good though because they would be too big for the tent. COB Led's for the win......

The actual wattage is 196 and the PAR wattage 109. Super low, the electric bill hasn't even changed. And they give off almost zero heat. Honestly i think these are gonna eventually kill HPS. They are already getting close. Chip on board is like no other LED out there right now. All the cheap china LED's and even the american made ones are garbage compared to a quality COB.

You definitely could do it, but you would need a carbon filter to run in the tent. That way your exhaust blows through the carbon filter and the smell is significantly reduced. It is a common issue, but people have overcome it with tricks. With one plant the smell will also be significantly less.

Interesting how some states have legalized cannabis for medicinal purposes and seems most states haven't caught on.
I'm more interested in knowing what are the limits in how much you can grow and what would be regarded as a criminal offense? Medicinal marijuana can be a misleading term, because it implies marijuana is medically good for you. Just remember that not everyone will be receptive to using it for medicinal purposes and some will get immediate or latent negative effects eg. insomnia, memory/concentration effect etc.

Week 4 is officially done. The Northern lights and Aurora have about 3 weeks left until harvest and are the chunky plants. And the Black Jacks have a good 5 weeks left. They take longer to flower because of the strain, hence they are lagging behind the others. BUT when finished, their THC and CBD content will be through the roof. It is a top medical strain.
They are really starting to bulk up now. Compare with even just last week.

My main goal, is to grow 100% organic eventually and cater to that market. Since not many 100% organic distributors exist right now.
Bat guano, earthworm castings, fishbone meal, and dolomite all composted nicely into a "super soil" is all the NPK you need to replace chemical nutes.
