    There's a photo in the OP. Here's a direct link: http://i.imgur.com/5d4GiUgl.jpg
  • That is sexy!
  • Very nice
  • That.

    Is.

    Beautiful.
  • It's a good thing that drool can't effect the net or everyone's computers would be flooded. I never saw that but it's a great looking display.
  • Oh my god that is fucking awesome I'm jealous.
  • I've seen it before but can't recall a price.
  • Ask and you shall receive!

$665 last public sale I noticed, 5 years back.

  • Seems that display was out before the game released and I want to say I it was either at Eletronic Boutique (long before they became Gamestop) or might have been TRU, but I remember seeing it as a kid.

I was really hoping there was an NES-M series # for this one...

The original listing says "Display has slight curve on upper left side"

Mine has the same curve... I wonder if it is the same display.  I didn't pay $665.88... geesh I had no idea displays like this went for that much back in 2012.

It's staying in my collection unless someone has the SNES or NES fiber they want to trade me.

  • Wow, that is hot. Do want! I'm sure I saw it when we bought our Final Fantasy on launch day back then.

It's cardboard and probably 18 inches at best. 2k gets you sime crazy M series displays, superbrites or fiber optics. No one is paying anywhere near 2k for it.

That was the first public sale and hyped really well. I thought it was going for 250 to 300 so yes it did insanely well at the time.
  • Here is a video I took of the display. It's glossy and has a special ink that appears to make it look metallic.  It's quite cool when the light hits it.

  • Dang! That video was sweet!

Makes me want the sign even more now!
  • The lack of a question mark really bothers me.
  • That looks amazing. The foil print stock really sells it.

I know, just the phrasing "ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH" was like....did someone working on this sign hand the keyboard to their 6 year-old son and forget to delete what he typed for the banner?

Like, it's not even as though it's a particularly difficult game... Poor choice of words there lol, not thematically appropriate at all.

True, but at the same time we need to consider that it might also be the most appropriate tagline for every game ever made. Let's try it out on a few games:

Super Tennis: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

F-Zero Legends: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

Solomon's Key: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

Super Smash Bros 64: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

Final Fight: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

Super Smash TV: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

The Elder Scrolls - Morrowind: ARE YOU GOOD ENOUGH

Yep, works on every game ever made.
