Omelettes - What do you put in them?

I have been into the omelettes lately as they are pretty interesting as to how customizable they are as far as food goes...Of course I have had them before but it was always just a one off thing back when I lived at home.

What kinds of things do you guys put in them?

  • Sausage, potato, bell peppers. Keep it simple, sucka.
  • sausage or turkey normally, with a variety of different cheeses, depending what I have, along with spinach, mushrooms, peppers, and topped with siracha or salsa.
  • Syrup of course!
  • Bacon or spinach, and now I'm really hungry :/

Edit: Just made an omelette, and it was delicious

Ahhhhh see this is why I made this thread. I had some salsa in the fridge and looked it and went "naaaah".

Now I might have to try it out.

  • Yeah salsa is totally the way to go, throw er on top at the end. Spinach too, Penguin's omelette game is on.
  • Bacon, ham, or turkey.
  • I like to go pretty vegetable heavy, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, peppers. I was skeptical about the tomatoes at first but man they are sweet in that little friggen egg concoction.

I learned how to make omletes from a guy that ran a breakfast catering company.  When you're beating your eggs do a 15% milk ratio to the eggs, and beat until small bubbles form on top.  They get nice and fluffy then.

  • Bacon and cheese. That's about it for me, typically. Been a few years though, maybe I'd be a little more creative today than back then.

Yeah like this. God that sounds nice.
  • Umm...ham and cheese. I'm boring
  • onion, mushrooms, jalapenos, and avocado, topped with a small amount of curry ketchup. Delicious!
  • A shorter list would be what wouldn't I put in an omelette
  • Whatever happens to be in the fridge at the time

    Have at er man ahahah!

  • Some combo of sausage, beef, bacon, pepper jack, peppers, onion, and sauce usually
  • Don't eat omelettes often but usually I'd include sausage, mushrooms and serrano peppers, maybe onion & cheese too.
  • Onion, ham, cheese, red pepper, and celery
  • Greek (gyro meat, tomato, feta), or spinach + feta for me.

Not a huge fan of Celery, unless its chopped pretty small. It doesn't taste good but it does add nice texture

  • I dont eat a lot of omelettes but i do enjoy em sorta mexican style every once in a while. Seasoned beef, olives, cheese. With Salsa, sour cream & guac on top!

This reminds me of a place i went to in Sedona Arizona called 101 Omelettes. Literally just a menu with 101 different omelettes. By the end it got weird with peanut butter & jelly and other weirdness.
