Just broke the 200 cart (NES) mark! I fell ALMOST complete
Haven't posted here in a while cause I've been so busy with work and family lately, but I just got back from a business trip in Phonix with enough games to officially put me over 200 in my collection (209 to be exact). I'm personally going for about 310 games that I want to pick up, so the fact that I'm almost there is so exciting. The NES was my first console ever, WAY back in '88. I've still got my original front loader, with my original handful of games, and I've been collecting since about '95, buying random games at Goodwill's on weekends out with my family. Aside from a pure love of playing NES games, there's just something about buying an cart that calls back all the warm, fuzzy, excited, feelings I would get the few times I got new games for xmas or bdays. It's taken me a while to get to the end of the road with my collection because I've been collecting on and off all these years, prices have gotten crazy, and unfortunately there's no mom-n-pop shops anywhere near me. It almost feels like I'll never get there, but the fact that I'm that much closer is so exciting I just had to share it on here
If anyone else has recently hit a collecting milestone, share it on here.
Also, I just want to give a shout out to 1UP Games in Phoenix, AZ. If there's any NA members out in that neck of the woods, or who's planning on heading out to Phoenix, 1UP is a truly great store. I spoke with the owner for a little bit, and he's got a really nice, clean store, great selection, great service, just really couldn't recommend the place more. PLUS they rent games if you live in the area. As I said up top, I only really get to collect when I travel, and I get a chance to hit up local stores. This is one of the better ones out there.
