  • I also noticed the Made in Mexico labels seem to be of lower quality...maybe lower DPI?
  • alot of my more valuable games are mad ein mexico. lufia, final fantasys, ogre battle, etc...it is a huge suprise to me. i just now noticed. are these versions worth less?

  • I believe the Made in Mexico games were reissues. I know Castlevania 4 and Contra 3 both had mexico reissues that had black and white manuals instead of color ones which the original japan releases had. Mex versions don't have glossy front labels like the Jpn versions
  • I've been picking stickers off SNES games all day and I noticed the same thing. Quite a few made in Mexico.

One other strange thing I noticed is that the back of one of my carts doesn't have a sticker on it, instead it has the words on the actual cart, raised in the plastic. Have you noticed this with any of your carts? Anyone know if these are common or not?

I found it on Paperboy 2, and just found it on Monopoly also.
  • EDIT: Whoops, double post

  • So far I have found a Mexican Donkey Kong Country and an Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen in my collection.
  • yes i have noticed the raised letters as well. i have monopoly and mega man x like that. very strange. i kept those as variants justin case.
  • and yeah i have some mexican ones. ogre battle, dk country, contra 3, castlevania 4, mega man x 1 and 2, some other ones..i have a bunch actually haha
  • Don't forget Super Star Wars. Now, I noticed the label is a lot duller.
