Yeah, I know it's a NES site, but is anyone here planning on playing Halo 3 tomorrow? Feel like sharing Gamer Tags if you are? Or flaming me for having the gall to bring up an XBox game here?
i do want it, but i had to decide between getting halo 3 and Skate, i picked skate. And besides, if i wanna shoot stuff bad enough, i still always have gears of war. But i will get it eventually.
If I had a 360 I would be getting it for sure. If my interview goes well on Wednesday I am going to buy a 360 and Halo 3 to treat myself

Heh Im all for NA clan romping around in halo 3 multiplayer. I'll make a stop or two after work tomorrow and see if I can find a collector's edition, for some reason the extra $10 seems worth it to me. I enjoy the small team skirmishes the best, but will play just about anything.
I was at wal-mart at midnight last night and got my collectors edition of Halo 3, it looks beautiful on my tv in 1080i. One thing I would like to point out is that with the collectors edition and legendary packaging, there is a flaw in the case design, the spindle that holds the play disk is very short and a lot of them have popped off during shipment causing the discs to become scratched, mine was and a lot of people online are reporting it too, cleaning it off and it works fine, just wanted to make sure anyone who was thinking about getting one was aware of this.
I've been playing the multiplayer for a few hours now; so far, I somehow got a network error both when zdan80 sent me a game invite and when I sent him one, eventually forcing me to leave online multiplayer and come back in, but otherwise...eh, still not as fun as part 1, in my opinion
Those are the only invites that have gone back and forth from me, by the way, so if anyone else is playing, have you had this problem? I'm wondering if it was just too busy today or if I lucked out and got a bad disc.
EDIT: Looks like it was just too busy early on, zdan and I just played a couple rounds and it worked fine.
Now I just have to find someone to borrow the game of 'cause I'm keeping my helmet sealed (next to my sealed BioShock Limited Edition w/big daddy figurine)!
Thank God there's no Collector's Edition (that I'm aware of) of Skate so I can actually play the game...

Alright...... I woke up Sat. at my friends house and they were playing Doom 3 on the regular xbox. For some reason i got the urge to get Halo 3..........30 min. and 450.00 later i was sitting back whoopin brute butt! Sadly i cracked out on it and beat the story line the first day. I'm about out of money and i need high speed.
i just picked this one up today, im gonna play through the story first cuz i've never played any halo games before and i wanna get the hang of it, so no XBOX live for me right now, however my gamertag is leftover mack

I had preordered Halo 2 back when it came out, I'll probably go pick this up tomorrow. Played the Beta a bit a few months back and it was great.

There was no promostuff, which kind of sucked, but the beer had Halo 3 labels, so I got 2 empty bottles to bring home.
