Local retro game store was broken into last night

I've known the owner of a local game store called 8-Bit Hall of fame that is in Bonita Springs, Florida, which is just south of where I live.  His store was broken into and robbed last night.  Thankfully cameras were able to catch video of the two people that broke in.  No idea yet on missing merchandise.  So sad to see something like this happen, especially to a great local store.  Trying to get the word out right now, as the more people that know in Florida, the easier it will be to keep an eye out for stolen mechandise, once it's discovered what's missing.

  • Holy crap. Sad to see this kind of stuff happen. Owner is a cool guy too. Wow...
  • Shit, that really sucks to see.
  • I drove past this store a couple months ago while on vacation. That's unfortunate it was broken into. Hopefully they have quality cameras and can get a good description of the suspects.
  • a friend of mine goes in there as he lives in the area.

that happened to my local store too. can you collect insirance from being robbed?
  • Lame! Hopefully they just stole worthless Xbox games
  • Happened to Super Gator Gamz in Newnan, GA early last year. A few months later and they were closed for good.

    Heresy!
  • Would this be to steal money or games?
  • Probably both sadly. Game systems were always hot to steal and sell at local shops, here in pa you had to fill out paperwork and give a legal id to sell them, so it's probably a smash and grab now that retro stuff is hot.
  • That sucks, dude! Killer store front/design/signage, though!
  • That sucks. Why do people do that?
