  • My favorite is the Xbox one but the Wii version is amazing!!
  • Wii version is probably the most refined one at this point, not sure if it has been released on any newer console though.

It's on almost everything, even PS4 and mobile.

Then get whatever one is cheaper after the Wii version, just not the mobile version.

  • Nowadays, most are going to recommend the Wii or HD versions. But, IMO, it doesn't really matter what version. If you're a RE fan, you're likely to enjoy any version.

That being said I think the GameCube version still holds up (especially compared to the PS2 version), even though it has less content. I prefer the GC controls, and the fact that it has real-time cutscenes (instead of video recordings) meaning you can actually see the characters wearing their alternate outfits in cutscenes. One thing the GC version has going for it is that it's the original; most of the other versions are based on the PS2 version.

GC version has a lot more enemies on the screen at once too. The entire game had to be rebalanced for the PS2 version because it couldn't hold up with that many enemies.

  • The Wii version using Dolphinbar and the Dolphin emulator. You can crank the visuals up to 1080p or higher.
  • I'd go with PS4 personally.
  • I'd say ps4 since it's the newest one.
  • The Gamecube version is the one I play most, even though I have the HD version on my Xbox One.
  • Ok sounds like ps4 or wii, is the wii controls just more fun? Or gimicky
  • PC version is amazing. It's easy to run and has texture mods that make it look out of this world, bonkers!

I personally would stick with the Wii classic pro controller.

I personally would stick with the Wii classic pro controller.

Don't think it supports that, and you might as well not play the Wii version at all if you aren't going to take advantage of the awesome pointer-based aiming controls.

I preordered it years in advance and was extremely disappointed at launch. The PC version didn't even support minor lighting stuff that the PS2 version had... at first.

  • GC for sure. It was originally an only for gamecube game. The feel of the GC controller is perfect for that game. I found the ps2 version wasn't playable. People might think differently though.
  • PS4 would be my first pick runner up would be gamecube.
  • Wii version. Love this game

the control scheme and play is just perfect with a wiimote snd nunchuck

this is coning from a person thata not even a huge wii fan or anything. But this game is so good on it

It supports the regular classic controller... not sure about the pro or gamecube controllers though.

It's great now, but was a mess at launch, unfortunately.

  • I've only played the Wii version. It was awesome (and can be found cheap).
  • I've only played the wii version. I liked using the wiimote to aim.
  • The Wii controls are actually great and I hate motion controls usually.
