Shipping Prices, both online and at the store front
Okay, I hear people saying that paypal online shipping is the way to go, because it's cheaper. When I ship boxes I notice that I save around a dollar when I use paypal to ship, and it includes DC.
Now, when I'm shipping one NES game in a bubble mailer, it wants to charge me something like $4.45. When I take it inside of the USPS, they charge me around $1.71 and another $.70 or so for DC. They also have a do it yourself mailing center where you print your own postage, and I think that comes to $1.56 without the DC.
I've noticed that the paypal price starts being even with the USPS price after it reaches one pound.
So, do you guys just take packages with single games into the USPS and buy postage there, or is there something that I'm missing on my end? I brought 25 small packages into the Post Office on Monday, and the teller told me that there was a man who would bring 100's of packages in at a time until he found out about online shipping.
I've been lurking, but I can't solve this mystery on my own. It seems like I've asked this question before, but I couldn't find it when I was searching through the threads. It is 4:30am though, and I'm pretty exhausted. I should probably go to bed.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I wish that there was a thank you button for individual posts.
Yeah, that was it though. I never selected the First Class Option because I always thought that it would cost more. So for things 4oz-5oz use First Class Parcel!
Wow, I'm excited now. Thank you again.
You can bulk edit your listings to change from default Priority ship, to default FC. eBay's online bulk editor has gotten MUCH better than even six months ago. It used to error out and not be very flexible, now you can do just about anything.
Also, as you're shipping items, you can manually change the ship method of course - but if people are expecting Priority, you'd better give them what they bought.
Of course if your listings are just flat-rate with no listed method (can you even do that anymore) then you're good to go.
If you want to see what threads you've posted in the past, you can do an advanced search for yourself, and a keyword. I found this doing that:
