Thanks a lot for posting this, I am always interested in articles about PAL format stuff. It is AMAZING to me how little of the history of PAL releases has been nailed down, whether in Australia, UK, Europe or elsewhere... I am really considering a project to actually properly document some of this one day!

Good read, thanks for sharing. My earliest recollections of seeing a NES in store was as late as early 1990. This article explains alot with its slow start.
