The one Castlevania game that was our downfall as town...Red was pretty much confirmed town and then was turned with something....I hate that mechanic--the only weapon the town really has is deduction and logic and crap like that take away the town's only potential advantage.

You can be pretty damn close. Last game I was confirmed town after a whole thing with fox. It might not have been 100%, but there was enough corroboration that it would have been stupid to lynch me.

Yeah, you can't even trust the seers fully (usually at least one wolf will be seen as town if they are watched at night), but if the Game Master writes it into something within the text of the game, their word is the word of the game.
Alakhira - yeah I missed it the first time too I agree it would be nice if it went on a reserved post. I found it earlier, but forgot the page now.
Limbo - I didn't realize there were events like that. I guess a gm could get really creative with it
Behemos - I guess if a wolf tries to make a crazy claim, and they live to see the next day, that's a giveaway. Because obviously a wolf won't eat a wolf.
So it seems that more people want a day 1 lynch than not. I'm still vehemently against it, but how do you want to go about it?
I'll say one last time, simply... Do not lynch day 1. I'd ask town to simply trust me on this, this one time.
But if you won't take my word on this, then we need to discuss how we'll move ahead. Talking about past games all day is doing nothing for THIS game right now. What's the plan?

I'm with you on no day one lynch, but if we do have a day one lynch, Brock's plan probably wouldn't work now as the wolves oviously wouldn't fall for it.

Thing is, next step is up to the roles. Our goal as town should be to give them as much time as possible to do their thing. A bunch of vanilla town pointing fingers at each other is a wolf's dream come true. Today, lay back and don't give the wolves anything. On Day 2, everyone be nice and talkative, so the people with roles can start giving hints.
If we have nothing solid on Day 2, then we go after the quiets, as many people want to do day 1.
Take one day. Just one day, out of all the days in the game, and put your trust in me. I believe that we will have something to go on when Day 2 comes around, without having to kill one of our own.
As the days go on, the town retains less influence because the percentage of wolves and town becomes more even and it becomes harder to get that majority vote....unless we kill wolves. And we can't kill any wolves if we aren't voting to lynch. Come on man, we have to protect the citizens of St. Canard and come out with ropes swinging! We need to lynch some wolves!

that's fine if you feel that way. But who do you suggest we lynch then?

Lynching wolves is our weapon, yes. But right now there are 21 people. 4-6 of them are wolves.
You're proposing that we take a machine gun and spray into a crowd, hoping one of them is our enemy, not knowing what they look like.
Think of this game as like a military operation. We need to weed out the terrorists hidden among us. You don't just start shooting folks at random hoping that you hit a terrorist, you gather evidence. Yes, some people may (will) die in the meantime, but it's what you have to do.
Gather evidence, and strike when you are certain. Not before.

I'm of the mind that the one thing we know is that inactives are an anchor, and IIRC he's publicly said his style is to be inactive. Sorry that just doesn't help us.
I don't play like that, the last game I came into the middle of the game as an alternate and was completely confused about what the heck was going on...so maybe I came off as such. If I'm busy at work, I can't post often during the daytime and I don't own a cellphone. All the previous games I've played I've had to defend myself up a storm because people seem to enjoy ganging up on me. Brock has even said something in the past similar to 'I don't know why, I just feel like Limbofunk is guilty every time.' I try and stick to the facts and don't usually go out on wild speculation. Even last game where I had no clue going on, I was pretty adamant about how I suspected Gloves of being a wolf...and he turned out to be one.

pretty sure Brock was joking. That plan sounds ridiculous
I'm with you Gloves. If we DON'T lynch today, whats the next step? What will we accomplish? I do trust you, but if we're going with your plan I'd like to know more than just the now, if that makes sense

Not before.
If we look back through the thread and reread it we might find clues. Right now there is a lot of talking in circles, whichh wont help the town.
Just realized I missed the day one description. What page is it on? Could each day description be cut and pasted into one of the reserved posts?
I'll be flying tomorrow but should be able to check in and chime in from time to time. Will vote if needed!
That was the intention of the reserved posts - will do that this afternoon
