I wish i'd kept the stamps on the package that came with mine as they used a few mario ones too
Because the sellers got them from the post office. Barring any shortage of stamps, the Mario stamps cost the seller the same as the others, so the upfront cost is the same. They only made a couple hundred Yen after shipping and fees, so the markup for the US buyer is minimal. I like how they used the Mario stamps on the envelope too. For the stamp collector it's like getting a couple of freebies.
I'm not a stamp collector but I do collect Nintendo memorabilia, just my two cents btw.
I agree it was well worth what i paid for the sheet of stamps just wish i'd thought to keep the ones on the package that the stamps came in to display with them. I wish the US did stamps like this instead of the garbage they pump out.
