I ordered all the amiibos and Pro Controller through Walmart. The amiibos are set to arrive tomorrow though oddly the pro controller is slated for delivery next Wednesday. I don't mind waiting a few extra days. I already paid for it and it's already being prepared for shipping. It's only a controller. If it was the game itself I'd be annoyed if it didn't come release day, which that's through Amazon and it set to arrive tomorrow.
Splatoon 2 does not contain a manual or anything special.
Edit: Oh, and GameStop didn't have any of the Pro Controllers in store. It was preorder only, same with amiibos. I was able to order one online, though. Nintendo seems to have a decent stock of the Splatoon Pros. I spent way too much money on this game today.

My local wal-mart had 3 switches, pro controllers and everything else you could imagine today. I guess it is nice to live in a more un-populated part of the world! (and no you can't move here! )
The Switch costs a bit more but is the better deal, woo! I really should preorder it... but eh... I'll see if it's still available after next pay day. It's a really fun game.
I have it on steam, and physical pc collectors edition. This will be third copy of it lol. But I will def play through it again on switch, i love the game
I'm pretty addicted to it. I skipped the Wii U and had only tried the first one on a demo kiosk and did not come away impressed for some reason. But I picked it up in all the hype and it definitely instantly clicked this time, very fun and refreshing for the genre!

It was driving me crazy wondering who mwc was. Yeah, I joined up with you in that match and then you disappeared. You should hook up with us more often.
My biggest complaint is the new levels. There a bit same-y. In the first Splatoon, you really knew where you were. The stages were all unique visually. The ones we've got so far (I'm assuming more will get released) all just kind of feel the same.
I'm really hoping Kelp Dome and that level where the water rises and falls to reveal new platforms come back.

I should! I've slowly been leveling up. Almost to level 5 now.
Really tempted by the axiom verge multiverse edition. A minor OCD complaint is the box appears to be wider to accomodate the documentary dvd inside, so it wont line up nicely on a shelf with my other switch games. There is a standard version available also, but for US$10 difference, the SE is good value.
I know a few of you have said no full set collection, but unless they do something crazy (a la tons of LRG games) then AS OF RIGHT NOW I think I'll be going for it.
Loving the games on this system, come on Black Friday sale to knock off the ones I don't have.
There are tons of games coming out between now and Christmas though so my feelings MAY change by years end. If it can turn out like Wii U and a lot of games can be had for $20 or less then that will help.
