I used to also collect comics, 1960's action toys, and a few other random things.
I have a ton of cards from middle to late '60's and they didn't sell as a lot on eBay for $10 - the lot included a Nolan Ryan 6th year and a rookie Paul Molitor and Robin Yount card. Craziness.
Maybe I'm completely mistaken but it seems like baseball cards have gone down in value.
Be well -

I am trying to get a complete set of the Topps X-Files comic books. I'm only missing around 8 or so.
I also collect records (vinyl) of my favorite bands. Luckily there isn't a 'set' so I don't have to feel the need to buy hundreds of them.

I was at the flea market last weekend, and bought 2 issues from 1970...
Holy hairy bush batman!
Holy hairy bush batman!
Your not kidding!!
I just started collecting Playboy magazines. I have every issue from 199 to present. I was at the flea market last weekend, and bought 2 issues from 1970. Now, I decided I want every issue ever printed! I've been looking at lots on eBay...
really, a temp at my work is looking to get rid of his collection.
what issues you need? pm me a list, ill pass it on to him.
maybe in 50 years?
Jared... is this so you can track the demise of pubic hair from the girls that had buckwheat in a leg lock to the girls of today that are smooth as a baby's bottom?
Thats one of the reasons. This may sound cliche, but the articles ARE interesting. It's neat to read the articles from back then and look at the adds and interviews and stuff. I could have collected any old magazine for that, but Playboy has the added bonus of naked chicks!

As for records, cds and dvds I only buy what I want to see/listen to.
The rest of my collections have been 'on hold' for many years, except videogames.
At one time this year I had 5 of them.
I like to restore snotty old bikes. Check out my motorcycle blog:

Right now I have a collection of bikes and old computers but that isn't on purpose!
Most of the things I used to collect are gone. Comics, and autographs and GPKs. All comics and GPKs of any value are gone but I do still have a 2 page notorized document Kurt Cobain signed giving POA to his lawer to purchase the house he later died in.
