The references you gave for your rationale are bad. The sealed sonic knuckles is irrelevant (well, mostly) to the cart or CIB price. For anyone collecting sega, they are aware prices have been steadily rising and there are far better examples that could be pointed to. Centy overtook Musha for well over a year now? Likely closer to 2? This thread would have been effective in 2015, but now, its old news from someone not involved in the sega market. That's most likely why it's being treated as a joke.
There was a pretty good drought on that one for a while and it shot up and then not so much haha.
That's pretty much what happens to a somewhat uncommon game that people think is rarer than it is. Someone talks about it at a time that few copies are on the market, thus inflating the market for it. People on the "gotta get it now" bandwagon pay too much for it, then more copies show up when all the idiots that paid more than it's worth have already bought it, thus bringing the price back down. It's a cycle that I've seen play out literally hundreds, if not thousands, of times over the years.
And it is a cycle that could be broken if we had people doing their own research without having to turn it into a show and tell.

Is it actually good? I bought it maybe a decade ago since it is sci-fi and an RPG, but have yet to play it. It's that darn Sega controller I think. Why do I need six buttons for one command!? Looking at you Sonic.

Dang. I'm glad I got my Centy CIB early on!
I was able to get cart only 4-5 years ago on here for pretty cheap. Still looking for box and manual though.

You forgot Go Go Hypergrind.
Rare game and a lot of fun, it has excellent music, graphics and gameplay. Best run n gun in my opinion.
No way it's unplayable lol way too hard
It just takes practice. Any Contra game can be conquered with enough practice.
Though Hard Corps is definitely very difficult. I've yet to beat it, but I kept getting further into it each play when I had it.
