What is a good price for the golden "collector's edition" cards? I can buy them but they're not cheap. I was thinking of using them as a trade, they look pretty nice (much better than the standard ones).
Hey all, it's been inactive for awhile so hope I'm not too late to the thread.
Anyway, I just discovered my old incomplete collection and would like to round it out. I'm missing quite a few but have a stack of doubles as well if anyone is interested.
I'm looking for the following standalone sets as well: Donkey Kong Country, Mortal Kombat 3, Super Mario RPG, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Mario Kart 64, Starfox 64
Turns out I have a set of all of the NP pogs, with corresponding slammers, that were released back in the day too. With NP pog tube holder and playing board! I have an extra set of the greatest games characters.
I also have an extra 12 card set of Street Fighter 2 turbo cards, with those coveted perforated edges, but I'm not sure where these came from. It shows their respective SNES moves on the back of them.

Those Street Fighter 2 Turbo cards came attached with the Nintendo Player's Guide.
I don't collect these cards, but I do have a bunch of those "standalone sets" as you call them and tons of other unpunched cards still on the sheets.
IF anyone reads this and needs any cards for their sets, please feel free to shoot me a PM
Wanted to update you all on the gold foil edition cards ... They were sold as a set of 50 from the power supplies catalogs Nintendo put out. The cards range from 1 - 68 but only 50 cards are in the set.
Yup, and they look like the image below. You can see the gold foil stamped on the top of each card that says "Collector's Edition" and also the "Super Power Club" logo in the lower left. These cards are carefully/professionally cut so they don't have the frayed edges.
With the help of Nintendopower4ever I have my last 2 cards on the way to complete my tearout set. Along the way I had purchased a binder with cards for $30. I had been annoyed at the time becuase they were the collectors editiion cards and the numbers were not sequential so I figured it was incomplete and I had wanted the regular versions to complete my set. Looks like I was wrong as there are 50 cards. Also looks like the collectors edition cards are going for big money these days
Game on to complete this - I've whittled away at it and am now hunting the following cards. Looking to procure through trade or purchase if anyone can help. Thanks!
8 - Super Play Action Football
39 - Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins
43 - Dr. Franken
48 - Super Spy Hunter
51 - Road Runner's Death Valley Rally
58 - Bart vs the Space Mutants
63 - Marble Madness
64 - Maniac Mansion
65 - Out of this World
67 - Final Fantasy Adventure
95 - Zombies Ate My Neighbors
127 - Bonk's Adventure
129 - Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land
138 - Super Battletank
142 - Breakthru!
143 - Final Fantasy III
146 - Star Trek: The Next Generation (Super NES version)
150 - The Legend of Zelda (second card)
151 - Prehistorik Man
159 - Firstriker
165 - Dragon View
166 - Walt Disney's The Jungle Book (Game Boy version)
I'm new to the forums. I just posted a new thread about Nintendo Power Super Power Club trading cards. Does anyone have any still available? I'm willing to trade or pay (within reason of course). Here are the cards I'm looking for, if you have any of them, please let me know - thanks in advance!
So I bragged to DaIllest that I finally scored some of the Collector's Edition cards. From what I'm hearing, they didn't make an entire set of them, meaning not every number is represented. Anyone got info on that? I'm pretty happy with what I got, but I'm curious if there is a list out there somewhere.

I believe this is the list of collector's edition cards. 50 total, but need updated list

Redivivus - they will fit in a normal baseball card 9 card page just as easily. Mine are in three mini albums made by Nintendo power with the black cover (seen in another thread I have)

Yeah that list isn't correct though. There were only 50 that weren't linear in order necessarily. So if you've got 50 unique cards, you've got it and should update my list I just posted with the actual card numbers included as I haven't had an opportunity to get that subset yet

Thanks for having this. I'm still a few cards shy of the set from the magazines.

Yeah that list isn't correct though. There were only 50 that weren't linear in order necessarily. So if you've got 50 unique cards, you've got it and should update my list I just posted with the actual card numbers included as I haven't had an opportunity to get that subset yet
