No, ebay sold listing over 25K. Two private above 25K. Can't see it now because it is not there. Bryans video game trader had it listed???? 9800 a year ago? What was that a running auction? Do running auctions of all of your non common ebay stuff and you know how low it will go. Dreaming if you think this is worth 10-15K. Jonebone you are always trying to undervalue this anyway. I don't even mention private sales about hardly anything anymore because it would turn the Nintendo world upside down.

The guy that owns that store listed it on ebay, it was the last one listed in the past year and OBO of 25K+ and then it "sold" but not sure for exact amount. Trying to verify that.

Last documented private sale went for 19k, and was only a few months ago. You are a legend and im not doubting your word on the private sales you knew about, but to us less-connected folks who only have public information to go off of, it appears that 19k was peak FMV for a grey NWC. You could help improve pricechartings NWC FMV by getting the buyers/sellers to contact JJ Hendricks and getting him to confirm the private sales price so that it can bolster public knowledge of your mentioned private sales. It makes sense to get private sales documented because those help with price discovery of FMV. These kinds of items are obviously rare enough to warrant a lot of privately negotiated sales, so it would definitely help sellers like yourself maximize your profits if there was better documentation.

The "public" information you speak of (pricecharting????) is not completely correct. Here is the thing, not everyone wants to talk about what they spent on xxx game or reveal they are the ones that did it. I can't email xxx each time something sells...that is for sure.
Past private sales I have hard for the past two gray NWCs: $25K and another for "slightly above that." Both were 18 months ago and more.
Past PUBLIC sale just posted from Bryan via eBay: 25K and the cart is not as nice as mine but was mine at one point.
As far as the Gold NWCs go...this is what I love about Nintendo Age and some of the "experts" (not you, just stating a fact) that continually try and bring down the value of this cart. I've never been wrong about this game in my lifetime. It has ALWAYS went up. Everytime I try and sell it and ask XXX amount it easily surpasses that number every single time later on and turns out to be a "deal." for sure.
You have to have best offer on these on eBay or wait privately. Running auction = won't work. Using a $9800 auction as "running" means you had to find someone with the money right then and there vs a private sale which can be way more beneficial to the seller, especially with payment plans (and I am always open to those).
So in any event, last two sales of the gold NWC:
Sold mine for $100,000 (no, that is not a typo) last year.
Same one just changed hands (the eBay one) for at "least" 60K + a loose Stadium Events.
I would say for sure the gold cart is worth a lot more money these days and those points are now proven. I have just been watching the countless "overpriced" remarks on Facebook / eBay for the past few years and I have not said a word but with this cart sold twice since then I decided I can.
Now if you only knew what I sold a lot of my other stuff for....

May I ask what you bought your "cheapest" GOLD NWC cart for back in the day? If not I understand, just a cool thought that's bugging me lol I've never had the foresight to get something before the irons hot lol almost got into Bitcoin at $300, of course I didn't....
