Where did this stock come from? Yet again proving the rumor that some liquidators got a hold of these units and sold them to thinkgeek, gamestop and Amazon.
No. That would have cost GameStop / Amazon a lot more money.
This “liquidator” would be throwing money away to give them to GS/Amazon at wholesale price. Gamestop and Amazon wouldn’t be interested in paying any more than wholesale price for more than a few units. These retailers hoarded them or Nintendo’s distributor gave them access to some late production straggler shipments.
Texting "IN" would only ask for my email and link to communication policy.
Texting "JOIN" actually gave me a message about winning NES Classic Edition and linked me to the slot game.
This is what worked for me.
And for the people saying they're doing this to get email addresses. They already have my email address, it the one I used when I had signed up with Power Rewards.
Thought to give it a shot with my wife's email, which is not signed up through GameStop and lost but the interesting thing is it did let me play. So I don't think you need to be registered with the powerup rewards program.
Thanks for letting us know, no luck here. Last time I used my wife's phone number to try for the Taco Bell PS4, she wasn't too happy.. probably won't be trying for this one. lol
Game Stop!!! Son of a Mother Fu***** Bi***!!! 100 Really!!!! I must have made 15 plus trips to stores over the last year to get one of these and they have been holding on to them. I really dislike Game Stop!!!!! The next time I need a stuffed Pokémon figure, Call of Duty Black Ops II belt or overprice POP figure i'll go somewhere else.....wait only Game Stop sells that trash.

Also looks like you can play once per day.

100 classics means they probably have it rigged to only give away 3 or so per day all month long.

You can play once a day and if you have other e-mail addresses, you can sign up and play again.

I'll try again tomorrow.
I wonder if you could just get a bunch of burner email accounts and keep trying all day. Probably not, and it's not like I want one that bad anyway.

I hope the CEO gets bit by a spider!
