LRG is getting so popular that this is getting ridiculous for even people that are actually prepared. I know that scalpers are to blame for this, when is sad. They know how limited this is and makes it even harder to get the games you want.
They announced that they took all of the CE down till 10am rolls around. I guess to keep the playing field even for everybody, but I think that created more problems than solving
I think removing it like they've done before has been pretty successful, I havent gotten beaten out as a person to a bot since they made the change. the 6pm time is usually easier to get in anyhow.
For me, them getting rid of the CE posting just before the release made it much worse. It jumbled everything up, as I was trying to add three different things to my cart. It completely hosed me, especially since I had to don't from my phone.
I've never tried to add multiple things to the cart just go for the one thing and it seems to work nearly every time.
I've done both and had it workno problem, but when one item disappears and you can't find it, it ruins everything. Oh well.. guess I get to try at 6. It's gonna be bad, but at least I'll be at my desktop.
I see what you guys are saying. Talked to some guys on LRG forums to confirm:
"They saw that 100 CEs were placed in carts already prior to the sale, which means those people were basically cheating by using exploits to get an edge on purchasing, so they removed the listing temporarily right before putting the game for sale. It was put back up, but it's possible that the listing didn't reappear for you due to cookies and cache data.
The good news is that there will be a 2nd sale this afternoon. Hopefully you'll be able to purchase it then."
So the LRG guys are trying to do what's right, which is good. But no matter what they try to prevent this, since there's asshats out there that don't like to play by the rules, it still unfaily makes it bad for others who wanted one.
It's gonna seriously piss me off when Ys Origins comes out on LRG and I miss out.
I thought the same thing and after seeing how this company operates with its handling of inventory/cart/payment system I'll pass and probably get the PC version and its translation patch if one exists.

Unfortunetely, no matter what they do, there will always be more angry people than happy. But they had to know this going into the business. The Missouri Game Con (Mo Game Con) is this weekend and the LRG guys will be there. If I can make it, I'm looking forward to meeting some of them.
I have not bought anything from them in quite a while, mostly because they were just shoveling out crap week after week. All I wanted was wonderboy ce, and nightrap ce and I managed to get both. There is just so much interest in LRG anymore its going to get harder, especially if people have found out ways to get it in carts early.

Awesome if you can meet one of them.
I suppose that's with any business, you're gonna get someone who would rather do something wrong and not play by the rules.
I won't fault LRG for trying, they are at least doing what they can to prevent such things, despite the futility. If anyone's to blame, it's the people who again are doing something they're not supposed to be doing, which is causing LRG to take action and thus casing confusion and many out what's fairly theirs.
I grabbed the bundle because I wanted both PS4 Night Traps and The Bunker (and didn't think I'd be able to check out in time if I added them individually). I might try to resell some of the other stuff, but honestly a big box PC Night Trap and the theme song single aren't the worst extras to be forced to buy. If it was bundled with Lawbreakers I certainly would have passed.
I'll be grabbing N++ next week. I enjoyed N+ like 10 years ago, so that will be a cool one. Other than that, waiting for Ys Origins. Looks like a lot of random RPGs and anime stuff in the pipeline now which I'll be happy to take a break from.
So these games do ppl actually buy them to just sell?
( reason why they sell out quick )
And if it's that, why not just make a bunch of games to satisfy the crowd
As a business I rather make money then ppl making money off me
Yeah, the scalpers resell because they know it's in low quantity and there's a demand.
The reason why LRG don't make a lot because it's in their name: The games are in limited quantity.
I don't think there's much you can do with a business model like this. They do make their money on their end, so I don't think they care about the reselling and flipping after the fact.

exactly. It's still a niche market, so keeping it limited is better for them. Business is business and you need to make money
I think people are also forgetting that warehousing isn't in their business plan. If they can sell through quickly and dont have to pay to own a large storage facility that's a cost savings.
Huh...I didn't notice anything wrong? I just spammed refresh till the buy option popped up and then clicked it...I bought it at 7:00 exactly. Got the confirmation and all...

Got the PS4 CE of Night Trap.
Really, how? It disappeared from the page for me just a couple minutes before 10 a.m.
Way to make the CE page disappear like 2 minutes before going live.
That was the longest I had to wait in the queue line. That was scary. It was because they took down the CE right before 10 am.
Same for me excpet that I went for the RE, so I don't know what happened with the CE.

So was the CE canceled, or was it some kind of crazy hax that allowed people to get the CE 2-3 minutes before the timer was lifted?
I just refreshed the page till it showed up. Everybody was adding them to the cart all at the same time.

How? You can add an item before you're allowed to?
