All the wal-marts and targets on the east coast got fresh stock. Nintendo is keeping a good supply coming for you Easterners.... good deal! Hopefully the wave comes up to the Northwest
It was very dry and I couldn't find any around here. But I'm not going headhunting to get one like I did with my NES mini. So that's probably why I keep striking out.
I still can't find one but a few people I know have found them relatively easily so I guess they really are out there. I'm in no rush to have one though I really do want it.

There are a few GameStops right by me. The closest one is right down the street and they've been cool enough to let me know when either they or one of the stores close to me were getting shipments in of the NES and SNES Classic Editions in ahead of time so I was able to get both consoles at retail. They are also really strict about the one per customer rule so they don't get cleaned out as soon as they open by scalpers.

Yeah looks like all the west coast game stops just got refreshed too. I don't think people will have trouble getting this tiny deck into their homes.
Gamestops in the Chicago burbs seem to have gotten them yesterday. Called couple Targets and they said next week. So far no luck for me getting a Classic yet.
Look like they are selling on ebay for 120-130 with free shipping, so after fees and tax its almost a wash. This will probably decline even more after more stock is sent out.
Good to see. Im going to still hold my "I told you so" until they are sitting on shelves un purchased

If you hear anything let me know. Still looking for one in the chicagoland area. I remember a week or so ago amazon had them on the treasure truck but of course I was out of town that day. UGH

I finally got one on Friday of last week. I kept calling Targets and it seems they didnt even know they were getting them. I called a random one about 20 min from my house and expected just to hang up and then they guy said "yep we just got them and have a couple." I drove like an insane person to get there and I literally ran through the whole store. There were 2 other people walking fast and once I ran past them, they started to sprint too, but I beat them...it was like a movie scene. When I got there he had 7 left and I snagged one and so did the guys behind me, but there was a couple left and no one else in line. The target guy said they didnt know they were coming in, they were told they wouldnt have them for a couple weeks. So seems like once people start to post that a shipment has hit major store in the US, just keep calling and checking in. I got lucky.

Long term it is an I told you so I'd agree. But right now with Black Friday through the new year sales and shopping about to ramp up I doubt Nintendo will keep pace as Switch is more strategically important to them. I think the gap will in the short term widen again for scumbag tactics. It will then I think get restocked better into 2018 and then it will fall back to where it is now if not an inch further into where scalping has no benefit at all.

Lmao awesome story. I could imagine myself speed walking to the back electronics section and then whooo somebody jogs past me, I'd probably follow suit too!

Haha, it was hilarious! You could tell they were trying to keep calm and cool, probably thinking "ok walk fast, but be normal, dont look crazy, were good, youre all good, they will still be there." Then all the sudden "Zooooooooooom." Then you could tell they were like "oh shit code red, this guy wants it bad."
Thanks for the link acidjaguar. I've been using it to track down SNES Classics and it is much more accurate and reliable than Brickseek or anything else I've seen. Saw stock pop up at my local Walmart tonight and was able to get extras for other NA members. Definitely recommend using this tracker and calling the stores to confirm.

You bet! Glad it's been working well. It has helped a ton out here too...
Link is still working awesome, just helped a buddy of mine find one locally as well. Very refreshing to be able to get em so easy, nice job (finally) Nintendo.

Now that it's a wash, it won't take long before the resellers start returning their leftover inventory. That's when you will see the big spike in unsold inventory sitting on shelves.
I hope you're right, but I wonder how many won't panic and wait a few weeks for the terrors that are black friday and cyber monday?? People go ape, miss out, and they're happy to sell for 2x the price.

I doubt you would see any returned yet; as mentioned above the price will go back up (at least a little) during the holiday season.
For some reason Hatchimals just popped into my head. Remember the craze over those stupid things last year?
I don't know at this rate, Nintendo might be able to keep a steady stream of em coming for the Holiday season. They will sell every single one of em too, then the Game Boy mini next season .
At this point, if I can't get it for retail price online, I'll just give up. I've gone to 4-5 Walmart / Target stores where they allegedly have new stock (including today based on new updates from that istocknow site) and they not only didn't get any stock in, but they seemed baffled why I'd even be asking.
Is Nintendo loathe to just let Amazon begin a preorder count for, say, a 1 week period and then supply them with whatever they end up needing? Is it pressure from brick and mortars or concerns about overproduction?
Yeah I just called 9 different stores around here including Walmarts, Target, Gamestop, etc... and they're all out. Most of them said a week to a week and a half before more come in. A lot of them said they only get small quantities per shipment too. I won't pay more than retail price. If I can't find one before Christmas I just won't buy one. I'm willing to give Nintendo money but if they can't meet demand in this day and age, they don't deserve it.

All the targets on the west coast just re-upped today. Was able to grab another this morning
Stupid job!
There are 5 in Helena right now
