I know that John Dunsworth did more than just play Jim Lahey, but when I hear that name, I can only imagine the drunk bastard.



I actually feel pretty damn empty hearing this news. He will be missed. RIP.

    What a bummer, I was turned on to the show from rhetoric a few years back in the old NA chat. Since then I've seen severe episode of the original run at least 50 times. RIP ya drunk bastard!

    An exceptional character actor. I will miss the random encounters with him around Halifax where he maintained his Lahey persona. The only time I actually talked to 'John' (not Jim) was when he was sorting through some old tires I was giving away curbside. My thoughts are with the Dunsworth family.

    It honestly changes the way I watch the show right now, I watch TPB every single day......It sucks knowing he is never going to be in any TPB stuff going forward, the show took a massive hit.



    I was able to meet him and Randy a few years back, they made me belly laugh and cry in 4 separate occasions, I actually still have a few videos from it:











    On the way out I slapped Randy's gut hahahhahahahaah

    Wish I got to meet them. Years ago they came to town while I was in trade school, I had no idea until the next day when a guy in my class had this great picture of Lahey with his sunglasses down pointing at him. They said Randy just hung out outside the whole night after the show just chain smoking and looking super paranoid.
