Joy-Con Storage ideas?

Hey Everyone,

I'm lovin my Nintendo Switch and I keep buying all those cool colored Joy-Cons, issue is, how should I store them? I have a RDP case that holds a switch and 2 joycons, but I have 8 more now. Is there a cool case everyones been using to store just Joy-Cons? or any other ideas? I like the idea of a soft zipper case with compartments for each joycon to keep them protected and dust free. How do you store yours?

Can't wait to see the ideas flood in!

  • Since the Switch is portable, it's now the perfect time to reintroduce the fanny packs.
  • Go to a dollar store, buy a cheap tub or something and get foam inserts and cut them to size
  • I've just been lining them up on my coffee table. They look cool and are easy to access from the couch.

If you're looking for more of a storage type of solution, you might want to check what people did with Wiimotes as well. I ended up just putting mine in a basket with the rest of my controllers, but it certainly doesn't look as nice as what I've seen some other people do. RoseColoredGaming had cool wiimote stands, I have a feeling they will do Joycon stands too at some point (if they haven't already).
  • A drum microphane case would be ideal.
  • one of those over the door hangers for shoes

lol! You'd also need to wear a chain and turtle neck sweater like the Rock did.

I like how they call them "bum bags" in the UK since they really can't use the word "fanny". lol

    heh "arse bag"
I have an individual I take care that has a fanny pack he slings it over his shoulder and across his chest like wearing a sling, he crams everything under the sun in that damn thing and hugs it for dear life at times. Lol

Ain't that the truth. I bought a bunch of extra controllers as well, but forget about needing an extra Switch for every 2 players (Bomberman). Does the controllers page keep tabs on 10 sources? I would really like to see games come out for more than 4 players on a console!
  • I think I maybe saw some joy con stands on thingiverse you could 3d print
  • Nintendo or Hori makes a charge stand that holds four, IIRC.

The Joy-Con Grip, Charge Grip, and the licensed knock-offs will all hold two Joy-Cons.

There are about half a million Joy-Con attachments and organizers on Thingiverse. I haven't had any interest but let me know if you see one that piques your interest and I can print it up for you.

Gah! You barely beat me to it.

  • Go to a thrift and find an old 3 1/2" floppy case that have those flaps in them. Stick a pair between each set and usually had a clear top so you can see what they are and which you're after before opening it.
