When and Why did the Krion Conquest jump up in value?

Last time I looked, which doesn't seem that long ago, this was about a $20 game or so. Did some prominent youtuber make a video about it or something? I'm not really complaining. I was just pricing my collection as I do occasionally, and that one took me by surprise.

    Its allways been an obscure title, I remember when I picked it up I thought It was a game about nurses or nuns as the label does not tell you, " I am a Mega Man clone "

    I think it hit 75-80 last year? 60 is a drop after the spike.

    According to the graph on gamevaluenow it slowly increased over time, not a sudden spike that you would expect when someone hypes it.

    It's not a terrible game. I bought 10 copies back on it was 15 bucks because I knew that it was obscure. Plus Vic tokai is one of those publishers that the less common games I figured would go up in value.

    It seems like 2016 was the high-water mark for a lot of games.

    It was in the 70-90 range when I was looking for it the last year. Finally got it in a lot with a few other games I didn't own for like $80.

    Darkwing Duck is more enjoyable to me solely based on the license.

    Screw this game. I'm glad I got Terra Cresta for cheap. People were yammering about it that I thought I'd need a mortgage to get it.  



    edit: Holy shit, the famicom version of this game is worse.

    By an order of magnitude. The quality of this game is part of why it shocked me that it had gone up so high since I last looked.

    Yeah this sucker shot up in price a couple of years back. I never got it because I thought the price was ridiculous but it would be cool to have if I could get it at a reasonable asking. But then again your talking to a guy who paid 75$ for a clean copy of Shatterhand.

    I wanted the game for years but the price has stunk for awhile now and it got to where it made the Famicom game equally if not more messy to buy too.

    Really better off with Whomp Em, though that game isn't anything special either. Theres 6 Megamans and Darkwing Duck, thats plenty for me
