I made a 3D printable insert to fix the Analogue Nt cart slot

One a scale from 1 to 10, the Analogue Nt cartridge slot ranks as maybe the worst cartridge slot ever made. It's very loose, it has metal flaps, and I often need to adjust the game slightly up so it reads properly. Analogue sent out these stupid little thin plastic pieces, but all they do is prevent the flaps from rubbing against your cartridges.

I made a thing that:

1. Stops the crappy back and forth wiggle (which can freeze your game)

2. Raises the cartridge 3mm, which makes the Nt read it properly the first time I insert a cartridge now.

3. Stops your cart from rubbing the metal flaps

I'm not sure if this works on an Nt mini, because I only have an original. You can download it here though: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2600662

  • Very cool! I don't have an NT of any kind yet but I was very critical of the cart slot before it ever shipped. I was saying "where are the ribs to reduce the sliding  contact area with the cartridge?! No mass-produced system would make that mistake and it's needed even more with aluminum chassis."

Sure enough, it launched and reports of it scratching valuable games ensued. Totally called that. If anyone in the Atlanta area wants to use my 3D printer for this, LMK.
