That will kill my liver haha
  • I missed the damn game

Looked to be amazing though watching the highlights. Congrats to Houston on their first WS game victory. I'm kind of surprised Jansen blew the save, but that Houston offense is the best in baseball. Darvish vs. McCullers is going to be good. You rooting for Darvish in this one, Duke?

    edit: lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itNSiLnf4KI
  • ^^^ Hahaha that guy got jumped before his feet even hit the ground.

You guys recovered from last night?

I went to bed after the 8th ... rookie mistake!
  • I'm sure that guy was drunk, but you still have to wonder what goes through people's heads. I'm usually impressed how quickly security is on top of this type of stuff.

A few years ago, I was at a Cardinals game where a guy ran naked out on the field (ended up being national news). Within seconds, there were over a dozen security guards coming from all corners of the field in a big circle and surrounded the guy and took him out. Watching the security guards work was more entertaining than seeing the idiot running around on the field. While they were escorting him off, he was trying to jump and down (with his hands cuffed behind his back) in an attempt to get the crowd to cheer for him (they weren't). After the third or fourth jump, while he was still up in the air, one of the security guards grabbed him and slammed him into the ground. After that, he stopped jumping.
  • I just jumped in here to see what madness was going on. I was NOT disappointed. I would have been a little more active on here if my Yankees would have made it to the big show, but I can still appreciate these two teams going at it.
  • Dodgers are really HR dependent. Astros pitchers just need to keep the ball down. Dodgers offense reminds me of the 2015 astros offense. Everyone waiting for someone to hit a HR.

Astros were second in HRs in the AL but their bread and butter all year were 2 out rally hits and big innings stringing hits. Just a super deep lineup. Towards the end of the year the stat kept getting repeated that the Astros 7-8-9 hitters OPS was higher than the mlb average 3-4-5 hitter OPS

Interesting game 3. Mccullers looks like he figured it out after having an injury riddled and bad second half. Allstar this year, just injury setback after injury setback in the second half. Going against darvish. Astros have seen alot of darvish. This year twice with the rangers. Beat him once. I remember a correa bomb in arlington off him. They should be more comfortable facing him. Thats what I thought about hill though too since he was an A. But didnt work out.
  • Just saw Joe Gerardi will not be managing the Yankees next year. A lot of teams will be giving him a call.

100% agree! Wtf are they thinking . I heard rumors of Don Mattingly and even Joe Torre but who knows . I was looking at the story today and happened to see a pic of Torre , Gerardi and good old Zimmer on the bench . Ahh the good old days

Yup!  This might be the last time I root for Yu.  As a Ranger fan I've seem him lay some eggs in these type of situations, so I won't say I'm confident he's going to go out there and deal.  But he's the type of pitcher that if he's on, he can be absolutely filthy.  He'll probably either get knocked out in 3 or pitch 7 amazing innings.  Not sure there is an in-between for him.  This is a different Astros team but he has come within a couple outs of pitching no-hitters against Houston a couple times.  He knows the Astros as well as they know him.

If anyone was worried about the Yankees being a juggernaut for the next 5 years then this is good news for you.  If they don't get the right coach in there then they may have just trashed 4 or 5 years of a good, young team.

If you ask me then NY really doesn't need a re-tread.  They need a young hot-shot.  The same way the Nats needed one instead of Dusty Baker.  Or maybe someone like Joe Giradi, a younger guy with just the right amount of experience.  Yeah...that's who should coach the Yankees if they want to win.

  • This is the astros offense. Finally.

Take the bat out of keuchel and verlander. Put in gattis. And what do you know.

    2 Innings... wow...
  • so far lance mccullers looking great. The pitch he calls a curve that is way more imo a Slurve pitch is on point.
  • Great job by peacock. Astros hitting returning to normal.

    Wooooo Series 2-1
  • I didn't get to watch this one. But apparently Yu continues to fall short of being an "Ace" type pitcher. I think it's his head. He can make crazy pitches, but he's 50/50 under pressure. Maybe even 40/60.

who fuckin cares. Hypersensitive virtue signaling.

dudes from cuba. Not exactly social justice hub. Can barely speak english. People just want to be mad about something because they lost.

Comedians say and do worse shit on nightly basis. If this really offends someone I have no clue what to even say.

edit: Just watched his interview. He said he was describing asianpitchers.  And how he has no luck. He cant speak english very well and was making a describing gesture. He played in Japan before. He wasnt mocking anyone. He was describing.
  • I didn't see what happened. I was planning on watching MLB channel tomorrow to see what happened in the game. But with those posts I did a quick search online and saw he maybe made a slant eyes in a mocking manner (via a short article). If that is what happened I'd say that is a classless thing to do. But I'll hold off judgement until I see it for myself.

he said he was describing "asian" as a gesture and how he hasnt had luck vs asian pitchers since he joined MLB. He cant speak much english at all. He wasnt mocking anyone based on what he said. The video they freeze frame tries to make him look worse. It was super quick and really not even noticeable if you were just watching the game. I saw that live on TV and didnt even notice till the SJW dodger fans  went nuts on twitter..

Well he isnt white, so this story will probably just die off pretty quick
  • He'll get a fine and that will be the end of it.
  • Tonights game is huge for houston. Since they are up 2-1, if you can take game 4 youd have a chance to close it out at home with keuchel. And still have a verlander game 6 and mccullers game 7 in your back pocket. Surely you could win one of those.

If dodgers win tonight all the pressure goes to houston with keuchel game 5
  • Id like to add again. I fucking hate ken giles.

I was already saying it was a mistake bringing him in a tie game.

But his ass better be glued to the bench the rest of the series. So sick if him

7 appearances 6 times hes given up atleast a run

    7 2/3 ip 9 er this postseason.

Just idiotic to keep trotting him out there
  • I'm not rooting for either team, and I have no idea who is going to win. Great series so far.
  • If the Dodgers win, Giles for MVP.
