^^thats a solid price!! Since this thread got bumped, heres all my recent ds pick ups! Also snagged Freedom Wings which i havent tried yet but it was cheap Natsume game so i figured i'd give it a shot! Been playin a lot of Puzzle Quest lately and finally beat through Monster Tale which was great! Still lovin collectin for DS, always somethin new and different to try!
I thought you already had Death Jr. and the Science Fair of Doom??
BTW those Repro Game Trader stickers are brutal. Go ahead and try to remove one
All I've collected for coming up on close to a year now is DS/3DS stuff (and some GBA). I'm building a shelf for it tonight, will post a pic when it's done!
Awesome! Cant wait to see it! Its the one i got like a month ago, just hadnt posted it in this thread! yeah, they're a bitch! I usually desticker everything rigjt away but those leave a residue i may try and take em off then just goo gone the residue but thats a whole project so i just left em on for now.
I know there are several DS Mario titles with red case variants, but were there any other games with them? A friend recently picked up a sealed copy of Dragon's Lair and it has a red case, is this normal/possible? Normally I'd assume the previous owner had switched out cases for whatever reason, but it's supposedly new. I guess I should also ask what type of seal was used for these? His looks like generic shrink wrap rather than a Y-fold.

Myth busted
Is "Don Bluth Presents" set in Comic Sans? Burn it.

Wow Quaze that is sweet! I can't stop buying for the DS, my favorite handheld ever and probably second to the Super Nintendo as my favorite system of all time.
^ I actually just beat Monster Tale last week after having it for a few years. Very fun, even though the padding got a bit ridiculous around the half way mark.
I also picked up Freedom Wings fairly recently for the same reason "eh, it's cheap and natsume," but it was sealed. Let me know if it's any good! There's little to no review of it
I see you picked up Henry Hatsworth too, which is from the same team and even better! (Even though monster tale implied that Henry died O_O)
Nice! I feel the same about Monster Tale! Really enjoyed it but there was definitely a lot of runnin back an forth for padding like u said. Havnt played Freedom Wings yet but have been wanting to check it out. Only played a few levels on Hatsworth but its pretty fun! Need to pop it back in and play some more! been playin Drone Tactics this week and its pretty cool so far!

Hmm..thanks, much appreciated. From the pics he sent me the case art looks original so may be a reseal. I'll have to see if he wants to open it up and see what's inside. Personally I'm trying to steer clear of sealed DS, seems like there's way too much variation and neither the heat shrink or y-folds are hard to replicate.
Speaking of Dragon's Lair, anyone play through this? Looks like a decent port of the original.

I didn't buy much at PRGE, but on my last round I spotted a table littered in manuals and decided to look. They were all $1 and I don't think that my hand could have shot out fast enough when I saw the Drone Tactics one . Now to find the game and case. Picked up a few more that I was missing as well on the cheap.
Might be joining the 3DS crowd soon too since qixmaster was nice enough to sell me a junked, but functional XL for a few bucks. Lusting after replacement parts now.
Oh yeah I told you guys the other day I'd post a pic of the new DS shelf. *Martin Prince from The Simpsons voice* "Behold!"
quaze your ds setup is killer
and perfect bateman response .gif
Thanks man, DS has been my primary collecting focus for a good while now, and I'm finally done collecting all but maybe 4-5 games I'd like to pick up for it I originally only intended to have a DS collection maybe half that size, but damn I just kept discovering good games for it! Still am!
Same here man I'm always finding cool stuff for it that I never knew about. I'm also fairly new to collecting for ds, maybe the last 2 years. It's awesome discovering new stuff in a library which is a rarity for me these days since I'm aware of most of the games for the earlier old school consoles
I'm curious -which games are you still looking for these days?
Also don't think I've ever seen a ds fluorescent haha

What's your favorite(s) DS game that you've come across? I remember starting out collecting for the DS and getting all these games people had recommended and then I picked up drone tactics at GameStop for $2 because it was cheap. I was on the fence about picking it up after doing a Google image search to see what it was all about, but I decided to pick it up. $2 wasn't going to break the bank. I played the heck out of that game for the next few weeks and realized no one had really ever talked about it before. There are still gems out there! The DS has a ton of them
What's your favorite(s) DS game that you've come across?
I would say Monster Tale is probably my favourite DS game. It's basically an action-adventure/platformer on the top screen, and pet-raising sim on the bottom screen. Strange mix but it works extremely well! Keep in mind There are still a ton of games on that shelf I haven't even played that, so that answer can (and likely will) change with time

Also don't think I've ever seen a ds fluorescent haha
I'm still looking for:
Monster Rancher DS
Dementium II
Shepherd's Crossing 2
The Wild West
Bleach: The 3rd Phantom
Ketsui Death Label (Japan)
That's really it at this point I think, unless I discover some more hidden gems (which is near-certain )
Nice. I’m looking for the 2nd dementium as well, didn’t realize it was a bit harder to come by?
It's not really hard to come by, I just haven't pursued getting a copy that bad. It's going up in value though, which is probably what's kept me from getting it up to this point I'm in bargain-hunt mode lately lol

Have you picked up dragon quest heroes rocket slime? That's one of my favorite DS games and most people don't seem to know about it even with dragon quest in the title.

Damn that sucks, game looks cool
To be fair I did happen to see it reviewed not too long ago by some youtubers I follow as well
Ah, maybe that did it. Metal Jesus? I know he's been doing some DS stuff lately.
yeah probably (or maybe radical reggie on MJRs channel) - i love the metal jesus!
