I won items from a seller who is no longer registered,now what?

I recently sent a message to a seller on ebay and asked what it'd cost to ship 2 NES boxes only (wizardry 1 & 2)...he got back to me fairly quickly and i like the shipping price,so i used BIN,and bought the 2 boxes,i just went now to pay and suddenly he's no longer a registered user? and it wont let me pay (nor do i dare to) and it says contact the seller to complete the transaction...if hes not registered anymore,i'd prefer to just say screw it,not pay,or get my items.he could easily just take my payment and not send anything,with no penalties! if i dont pay,will i get penalized at all? any suggestions about this circumstance would be great! thanks.

    If he's no longer a registered user, his ebay seller account may be in arrears. If the auction you won still shows up as a valid ended auction, that's what's going on.



    If the auction you won no longer shows up (i.e. ebay removed it, etc.), then the seller got banned for something.

    thanks!....i'd like to have my boxes,but it just seems a bit risky to pay someone who's already in trouble with ebay,or whatever is going on?
