Aero Fighters SNES Price Spike

  • "The world's hope hinges on your combat skills and sheer determination as an "Aero Fighter". Defend the world from unknown alien forces that are attempting to take over the world. You must extract these unknown forces before they can execute their plot for dominance. After conquering the unknown forces, the battle continues into space where the "controlling intellect" dictated the take-over attempt. You must seek and destroy this evil force to prevent it from seizing other worlds."

I don't know why but this just reads really lazy to me hah.

    lol nice
  • Buy the arcade machine
  • Im still waiting for OP to give me my medal from the last speculation thread he posted in.
  • Making a thread about it will help it crack $1000 for sure
  • Will you stop making these threads.
  • Stick to GameCube hype and speculation.
  • sometimes i wish i had a way to se the future so i would knw what game to get before the price spiked

Dang it why did that guy have to destroy the cronoviser!

And the Isolated Warrior/Next hidden gem thread.

Polar Bear: I swear I'm only talking about the gameplay even though I put the thread in collector's corner and harp on how cheap it is so you better buy it LOL!

  • Two things I can add or agree with others on right off.

I'm glad I don't spend into stuff like that anymore as I have a super everdrive+dsp setup. And the other I have the two superior sequels on real MVS carts I can use anyway that go for a pittance of that price.

I see UN Squadron and Space Megaforce pop up on this and I'm glad I still have those as they're great games.
  • Space Megaforce is way better than Aerofighters in my opinion.

I feel a little better now.

Weird, that is what I spent in late 2015. It seems like these games jump rather than grow.

Also, Aero Fighters is like a 20-25 minute game. The price per minute of gameplay is ludicrous. AF is a fullset game only, in my opinion.
  • I'd agree with those last two comments. Space Megaforce probably is the best of the vertical shooters the US market got though I think some would argue for Axelay. And AF really is short but it is unique that it does randomly configure what gets thrown at you each play through if memory serves. AF2 and 3 don't do it but the designs are so much more superior and longer games too so they really don't disappoint.

I think he was the same jackass who made constant threads about how great Spriggan powered is and you guys need to get a copy now before their all gone!! When caught on his acting, he was all, "bro I don't know what you mean, I'm just discussing here how great this game is and informing our members that they need to jump on a copy before the price rises".

excuse me langauge but fuck people like him, glad he got banned.

  • Yeah, and then he changed his post to say Aero Fighters, then deleted them to cover his tracks. Wasn't the only time he did that, either.

Heck, you could buy a supergun or a JAMMA cab and this PCB and still pay less than that.

You comment a collectors forum and still don’t get why people play big $$$$ to have certain game? Even if we all can get it for free with an emulator. You don’t understand the work "collector" I guess. Well thank you guys for the debate...

  • Or he does but also argues on the side of sanity. I get what it means but I still can't gather why people would pay that much, especially after an extremely recent mass price escalation. I'm not saying it will fall back to around that $400 mark it rotted at forever but no push back would be something strange too.
  • I don't think Aero Fighters is going to drop anytime soon as it's got everything required to maintain its value: it's a legitimately 'rare' game on the SNES, it's pretty good and it's got bragging-status. I actuallt think Hagane being #2 on the price list is the oddity, as it's Little Samson-esque - not THAT rare, just a good game with serious hype as a collection piece.
  • There is no way I will ever own an authentic copy of it... Unless someone wants to trade for a bunch of Wii U games lol. Not likely.

They published Hyper V-ball also. It's the US branch of Video systems.
