I never ammassed a big enough manual collection to worry much about storing them, but I always like the idea of using the 4-per-page and 2-per-page photo album pages to store manuals in a big binder.
Yeah I always liked that idea too. I've considered storing boxes, carts and manuals separately and that's the way I'd probably go for manuals
The Custom Game Cases from Shadowfox are definitely a huge improvement over the UGCs, but they aren't available for all game systems. For something like Jaguar, I decided to keep all of my manuals in their own UGC (2 actually due to the number of manuals). A friend made a custom cover just for my manuals and it works great. The Jaguar manuals are definitely too thick to fit in a UGC with a Jag cart (which is already pretty thick to begin with).
I put my manuals in a 3 ring binder with the protective sleeves. And have tabs alphabetically. Its a clean look and it solves that problem. I know the unlicensed tengen carts have big manuals as well.
This is a world I would love to live in.
What kind of "protective sleeve"? I've kept an eye out... but never really researched it.

Saw the OP of this old thread and was having flashbacks on his thread defending the idiotic position of save states practicing
Save states on my ED is literally the only way I can even get through some NES games. I am not the greatest gamer but just want to progress in a game rather than start over and over. ugh

Getting off topic, but using save states wasn't the issue. Like you, I need save states or other cheats to get through many games, but I don't go around saying that the games I used save states with were easy, or that I'm really good at those games.
