Again!! Time to ship just domestic. International is getting worse. Seeing a lot of this lately from others as well. I know you might have a faster time selling stuff international but if you wait eventually somebody in the US will want your items.
  • USPS didn't deliver 3 packages last month   I have security cameras so I know it wasn't stolen out my mailbox. My mail carriers frequently botch delivery addresses. I'd say twice a month I'm running to my neighbors to give them mail, sometimes to an address a couple blocks away with the same house number as me. I bet delivery was screwed up, but it hasn't made it back to me.

Today Fedex delivered a package to a pick-up location and when I went they said it wasn't there. Why is all of my mail going missing

I have a 3DO game that's MIA from Spain too. The sender has no tracking number. Dammit.

my cousins dad had important medicine delivered to the wrong address. Showed delivered. They had to fight and fight to get a replacement sent because they didnt get it. Later that month they had another package misdelivered, and that old persons family brought it to their house. They asked if they had received the medicine awhile back , and yup medicine went there too. USPS will never admit a fuck up though. They are perfect angels.

I just had a dumbass leave me neutral feedback tarnishing my over a year of no neutrals or negatives. Finally cleared all the idiot feedback off the 12 month and was still going good for a few months till today. The action figure I sent them (TMNT). Well the figure has a detachable tail. They thought it was broken and left me neutral. Just facepalm. Fuck people.
  • Having to contact amazon 3 times to get packages shipped that were over their 8 days for free shipping and each time they claim there was an issue at the warehouse. They did upgrade the shipping on them and i got a credit at least that paid for a book and 3.00 off a preorder. People who ship with dhl only for them to hand it to the post office, it adds days to the process that their lazy asses having USPS deal with it wouldn't cause. I'm now actually deducting stars off reviews for sellers who ship like that. My friend had to go to the post office and fight to get her package as the mailman claimed to have left a slip but didn't leave the package even though he dropped off another. I literally have my post master's email addi at her office so there's no escaping my wrath.
  • My weeks-missing packages from my mailbox and from Spain showed up almost immediately after I filed reports and complained above. Who says complaining on the internet doesn't solve anything!
  • Yeah usually when i have to contact someone they show up real fast or with the case of amazon they suddenly ship fast lol.
  • Seller rejects to giving better/closer pictures of item. I'm just trying to verify its legit and in good condition.... ugh
  • This is different regarding to the Super Smash Bros NFR thread that is locked. So pissed LIKE FLAMING DEVIL HORNS ON FIRE PISSED. A NFR Super Smash completely ruined. Mainly, being deceived and lied to like that. Just so thankful for the community spotting that alteration. <3 Should have known something was up seeing the recent sell on eBay and then just a few days later a thread posted about it, but was instead completely blinded.
  • How do you big-time eBay sellers do it? I have 35 auctions that I have put up over the last week or so, and have gotten so many bullshit messages from people trying to lowball me. Telling me that so-and-so games are only worth $10 and they're doing me a favor by offering me that much.

Do they just assume I have no idea what I am doing? I wish I could look them in the eye just to laugh in their face.

    Auctions, or buy it nows??

I have sold thousands of games over the years on Ebay and can probably count on one hand how many times someone messaged me trying to get me to sell for a lower price.

All .99 auctions (or 9.99) auctions for 50.00+ valued items.

So they are messaging you on your auction listings trying to buy it now for a low price?  Yeah that has happened to me few times in the past.  Not often though.  Used to happen a lot more couple years back when I did a lot of auctions.  Now I just do mostly buy it nows and wait.  Might take longer to sell but I always do sell everything and usually get the price I want.

Just ignore them.  Even if you have a high feedback score of 700 if its mostly from buying they can see that and still might take the chance you don't know much about selling.

  • I probably have 150 or so seller feedback over the last 10 years, but it was for tools and misc. electronics not games.
  • Block them. You don't need the aggravation.

It must be the holiday season.  I have some .99 starting auctions and have recieved 4 messages in the last few days stating they will pay the full price of $?? if I ship for free.  I started to message back what they consider "full price" is not even close....but instead I just invited them to bid that amount.....cause nothing on Ebay ever goes for more than full price

Ebay buyers try to get items for cheaper than market and think you don't know what the game is worth. Whenever I sell something on Ebay I use fix price with free shipping. That way I get the full amount plus don't have to listen to lowball offers. Ebay has been getting very bad though. Lots of issues.

  • Im not doing any BIN because I just want this shit gone, best way is to start with a .99c auction.

Very true and I've been saying the same thing for a while even though people call me crazy when I do.  A nice added benefit is that you will often get more than a BIN when doing this.

This may be true for certain things, but lately I have found that auctions usually sell for less than the current market value.  The exception is for games in pristine condition, and that are semi-rare to rare.  I think those ideas of bidding wars and sense of attachment once you place a bid driving up the price is true, but its starting to not be the case for a lot of the more regularly available items.  Most people want to get a good deal.

It is actually the main reason I stopped doing auctions.  I was regularly selling things for significantly less than I was anticipating, albeit it was indeed the fastest way to sell.

  • I dont care about getting maximum value for anything, I care about it being gone.

Almost everything I am selling was bought for pennies on the dollar.

Yep, I got that from your previous post.

I was just commenting on the claim you will often get more than a BIN with a .99 starting auction.  Basically, YMMV.

It really depends though.  For me personally I have lost more at auctions.  If I sell a video game at auction even its .99 cents it will cost 30 cents listing fee compared to fix price which I get a bunch for free.
  • I'm on the fence personally -- I'll never forget listing a loose copy of Castlevania for 99c back in 2013 and it sold at that. I undercharged for shipping, so I really lost out. Buyer immediately re-listed and it sold for $12 or so within days.
  • I don't care to get max value either, but at the same time I don't like being a bitch to some scalper either. I look at like condition stuff, figure out the average, come in a small percentage under and finally tack on the 30% higher BIN (I miss 10%.) I find when my stuff goes 50/50 it's snapped right up with the BIN or the other value (and between) which I'm fine with. The weird thing I've had happen at times is that a known games mass reseller on ebay will buy a game of mine and I question why. I can only guess they ignorantly kept their stock listing up and ran out, got desperate, and clicked something just to fulfill an order as there couldn't have been anything on the back end after fees.
  • Toys R Us and buying games from them = ARGGH

They truly need to learn to Best Buy. Item was in stock and ordered. Next day, they canceled order saying it was out of stock and had to go on phone for 50 minutes to handle it since I used my rewards promo code and there is a sale of buy one get one 40% off that I would have lost. That is the only reason I bought two Switch games from them. It was a first time after many years and looks like never again, at least online.

They won't be in business much longer. They are already planning to close 26 stores in the UK. They are struggling here in the US big time. I say by 2019 all stores will be closed at this rate.

  • Buyer: "Will you sell me 2 items from this huge lot?"

Me: "Well, I'll have to take down this listing and then relist two separate listings, one for you and one for the rest of the stuff, but sure, I could use a sale today."

    Buyer: "Thanks!"

    ...*5 MINUTES LATER*

Me: "Okay, I put up the listing and gave it an ungodly BiN so nobody would take it out from under you. Send me an offer for the price we discussed and I'll get it out the door tomorrow."

    Buyer: *sends offer*

Me: "Okay, now to just hit acce-"

    *buyer has retracted offer*

...what the fuck? Well, that sure was a unique way to waste my time.
