FS: Sega CS Cabinet (Japanese Sega Mega Drive 2 Kiosk Unit)

Hey guys, here I'm selling my most prized possession: a Sega CS Cabinet. It's an incredibly rare Sega Mega Drive 2 kiosk, not many were made and not many have survived. I picked it up when I was living in Japan (it was a partial birthday gift), but I think it's time to let it go.

The monitor unfortunately doesn't work, the chassis gets power but its fuse blows as soon as you turn it on. I checked the voltage on the power supply and it's outputting a little over what it should (20.3V instead of 18.5V) but I'm assuming that under load, it should be at 18.5V. The speakers work fine, and the lights in the marquee-type area and the shelf behind the big Mega Drive 2 door light up. The top area is a clear acrylic piece that flips upward to reveal a hollow space, where you can fit up to 3 Mega Drive game boxes side by side. It comes with a Sega box that has the key, manual, replacement 3A fuse, etc.

It's Japanese, so it runs on 100V. You will need a 240V to 100V step-down transformer to use this in Australia. The whole cabinet measures about 171 x 71 x 65cm (height, width, depth).

I'm willing to have this crated and shipped all at your expense, but it must be organised by you. Otherwise it can be picked up locally from Rouse Hill in Sydney.

Ideally I'd like to get $12,000 AUD for it, but please feel free to make an offer.

  • Man, that's incredibly cool. If I had thousands of dollars just lying around I would totally love to have this. I think you'll have trouble selling this for that price, but GLWS regardless
  • Thanks! Yeah, I know, it's there just as a starting point, I'm not expecting someone to pay $12,000 for it. I'm just waiting to get an offer that I like.
  • Sweet item, hope it finds a good home :-)
  • Thanks, I do too!
  • Bump, I'm very open to any and all offers!
