FS: Pioneer LaserActive CLD-A100 Unit ONLY - PRICE REDUCED

Looking to sell my American Pioneer CLD-A100 a.k.a “LaserActive”. This is for the unit ONLY. No remote, PACs, etc. It is in cosmetically good condition with the exception of a chip in the housing near the reset button. I have tested it with CD’s and LD’s, and they both work.

however, when trying to eject the CD tray it will just eject the entire tray instead. Although annoying, you can still place the CD in position and it will play.

i did test it with a SEGA PAC-S10 (not included) and it played Genesis carts perfectly, but Sega CD games seemed to load rather slowly at times. I think the laser lens will need some sort of adjustment or replacement.

looking to get $175+ EXACT shipping cost. Shipping will vary greatly depending on location. This monster weighs 23 lbs and will require a large box to ship it in.

  • Cool to see this thing on here. I remember seeing this in one of my 1993 videogame mags. Everytime I checked that mag I would be shocked at how gigantic that thing is haha.

I remember seeing it in the Damark (or Danmark?) catalog. I remember thinking the description had to be bogus. "No way it can play games from all those platforms!"

Haha yea, at the time it made no sense as if the console was just a myth hahah. Just seemed so odd for a laserdisc player to have Genesis and turbo Grafx attachments. I barely even knew what laserdisc was. I only heard of them cause my mom's friend had one.
