Hi!

Hi all, my name is Thomas, and I'm a collector from Norway.

I collect everything Nintendo. Between 2500 and 3000 games over all the systems. Used to own the gray NWC 1990 with the torn label, now I have a gold. Also have a few prototypes, like Echo Delta for the N64.

Thanks to Rob Budrick for showing me this place - I had no idea about it! And it's very nice to see DreamTR here, it's been long!

  • Welcome to NintendoAge Thomas!
  • welcome,good stuff you've got !!
  • Welcome to NA.....if you have any collections pics I'd love to see em. There is a thread in the collector's corner section to show off all your stuff.
  • Welcome to the site. I think you will fit right in!
  • Welcome to the boards, dude.
  • Thank you for the welcomes, everyone! I've been a little out of the loop with the rare game collecting the last few years (I also collect books, classical music and furniture), so this place is quite overwhelming. I wish I came here earlier! Is there a guy called Niels Pit here, by the way? Another name I remember from when I spent everything I had on games ten years or so ago.

  • Welcome to the site!
  • Oh my god! I guess the "mystery" is solved. DreamTR told me a grey NWC was in Norway, but even better - it's upgraded to a gold! Welcome to NintendoAge image

My guess is that Niels is sample-seller/simon belmont/castlevania4ever(?..), from Netherlands?
  • Welcome to NA, Thomas!

Nice to meet another Norwegian collector image

  • Thanks again everyone, this has got to be the friendliest forum I've ever seen. And hello there, fellow Norwegians! I've collected these things seriously for a long, long time, and never ran into another Norwegian collector. So this is kinda eerie... I thought I was the only one. Silly, I know. BTW, yes, Hilmarf, that's probably the guy I'm thinking of. He was from the Netherlands. I just always remembered his name for some reason... I believe I got a NES test cart from him 12 years ago or so.
  • We've already talked a little, but welcome!!
  • There are very few die hard norwegian scn nes collectors that I know of, less than a handfull, but there are quite many regular norwegian nes fans on norwegian gaming forums im on. Retro1 being one. However, Sweden have many serious nes collectors, at least compared to Norway(if the majority of norwegians aren't hiding or somthing hehe).

Really cool that you also were a serious collector back when I was 11 years old, that's quite some time. I would love to see some pictures of your nes collection!

There's another grey NWC in Norway image And it has been here for ten years - it belongs to a friend of mine.

Fant det ut tidligere denne uken... Han trodde han hadde fortalt det til meg for lenge siden, noe han tydeligvis ikke har gjort. Haha, jeg ble ganske lang i maska da jeg hørte det.
  • Yes, Hilmarf, I had the same mystery for years. Finally, I sought to solve it, figured out who Thomas was, discovered he had a gold, and wrote him promply about both carts!

Thomas, Niels has been sorta out of the scene for some time, or rather, laying much lower than he used to, but I recently spoke to him about his NWC cart. Write me back at my email address or send a PM here and I can get you his contact info.

Xevious, can't wait to hear more!

  • Niels Pit is not castlevania4ever, that's Niels Thomassen (sp?)
  • Right, DreamTR. Niels Pit still owns the gold NWC you sold him. He and friends still play it, as he believes games are meant to be played. I believe he said it is at a friend's house right now. I asked him for better pics, as I had few of that one.
