Steam Heated House

I am currently doing some house shopping, and trying to find a place that can accommodate all of my games.  One house is has steam heat, which I know is great for people, but does it have any adverse effect to my games or systems?  If there is any other advice in addition to the steam heated, please let me know!  Thanks in advance.

Only if it creates a high humidity condition. Humidity for games is bad. Especially for retro carts and cardboard.

  • Is there not a proper humidity level to not damage any games?
  • 40-60% is generally considered Ideal humidity.
  • Maybe the lat humidity question, but is there a recommended device to measure it?
  • Most of the stuff in peoples collections have been sitting in three places for years before winding up in their hands:

    Basements, Garages, Attics.

Your stuff is fine if it's not extremely mint condition stuff.
