If a buyer doesn't pay on an auction, is there anyway to leave negative feedback or once I close this case is that just the end of it?
Can't leave a neg or neutral feedback for buyers anymore.
All that happens is they get an unpaid item strike against their account. There are settings in your preferences to block buyers that have unpaid item strikes.
Lootvault for sitting on my crap for 2 weeks now and only offering to credit my account instead of refunding the credit card. I've contact the BBB and the PA attorney general to see if they can classify this as fraud.
Not sure if I'm just paranoid or if Amazon really is omnipresent, but this was weird. I wanted the Minecraft complete edition for Wii U, so I called around and none of the local game stores have it. Amazon doesn't have it either (except for sellers who want $60+ for it), but I see a Best Buy about 25 miles has it but they won't ship it. I didn't feel like doing the drive, so I checked eBay a bit with no luck. Just to double check, I looked on Amazon and they have it all the sudden for $20 brand new! Had to backorder it, but I wonder if their system picked up on me searching for it (I have the Amazon app on my phone), and gave me dibs on the incoming stock or something. It's a random guess but really strange. I checked a few minutes later and none were available.

Minecraft went up in price on all the systems lately, I'm not surprised you got the wrong one though. Amazon's not doing so great at holidays and getting things right. Completely Agree! Years ago when eBay had their own Magazine, they used to have articles/interviews with Power Sellers. I remember reading one where the guy had the same strategy for every Auction and that was start everything out at .99c and let it roll. There is allot more to this strategy and seems to get bidders far more commited to winning, but this again was before BIN & Sniper Bidding Tools.

Item is $600 and it has been a week with 3 excuses of why they couldn't ship it each day they were supposed to. Apparently their dog died, which is terrible, if it is true and i have been very patient each time they gace me a new shipping date. But they finally send it today after going back and forth and they put the wrong address, he sent me the receipt and it had the wrong street name. Supposed to be CLUFF he wrote CULT lol
And this is after he asked me what APT C3 meant on the address...........
So he rushes back to fix it. And now he writes CLUFF correctly, but leaves off the APT C3.........
How hard is it to ship to the correct address, it is written in multiple emails, ebay, and paypal.......
I can totally understand being delayed in shipping, it happens all the time, and i have been guilty of it myself, so i can live with that. But the lack of communication, combined with messing up the address twice now has me concerned just who i am dealing with...and whether or not the item i am getting is going to be even shipped safely. It is a SNES M80N sign.
I am sure everything will be fine, and he assures me now the unit is hand written on the address label even though the receipt doesn't have it on there. I have all the emails just in case.

update us when things play out. i know emailing instead of messaging on ebay can be an issue when it comes to filing a claim in the future. im curious to see if this guy isnt playing dumb but intentionally causing chaos. but given that ebay now gives buyers 3 months to file an item not as described case he would really have to drag things out.

Yeah i will definitely let you guys know how it plays out. Everything was done through ebay emails, nothing out of it. So that shouldn't be an issue.
I think this person just really is a little on the careless side, or very young, or they really are dealing with a loss of a pet and it is affecting them. Hopefully it arrives safely and to the correct address lol Like i said since everything was done through ebay, it shouldn't be an issue, and my address is the same in paypal, ebay, and the email i sent him correcting his mistake when he first sent it. So if god forbid i have to resort to ebay, if it doesn't show up or shows up damaged, i will be covered.

Just had amazon cancel an order as they couldn't get inventory on a game that was sold half price so I just gave my business to walmart who was just a bit more expensive and gave me free shipping.

I recently sold about 40 auctions (7 day) and had 5 winners that didnt pay/no communication no anything. 2 were less than 10$ items too. Why go through all that just to not pay? Its pretty silly.

Sometime mid late last year. Anything under 1000 domestic requires immediate payment. It also effed up international checkout where they have problems commiting to buy so I can edit an invoice before payment. Ebay has fucked it all up for me. Now I get all these people buying all this crap and say oh I want to cancel refund please. Id rather them just not pay and I dont lose .30 cents.
Buyers can now buy and cancel whenever they want if you havent shipped it. Id rather a cancel than a return though. Theyll just lie with a return
Yea, it is so frustrating. You have to cancel because of the buyer's fault, but you are stuck losing the 30 cents. Why can't they just refund him 30 cents less?

Word. There's another guy that had 117 feedback with a 100% feedback. He was listing "authentic" Mario Party 1, 2, and 3, ALL DAY for $18 a piece shipped. I checked at 8AM Central and 1PM Central. He/She used the same photos and listing for each and probably collected almost $1000 worth of money. I can't believe someone would burn a 100+ feedback acccount.

He is a person that cant read, blames me, and I was nice as shit answering his return saying it wouldn't be beneficial for a return since it was 6 dollars and it would cost him since its his mistake 3 dollars to mail back and Id refund 3 of the 6 back since I had to pay shipping originally. They close the return. Thought it was over. A month later they replay saying how rude I was and out of the blue rage and how its my fault for this and that and not saying that different years of this games pieces are different sizes. Getting really tired of trade offers on kijiji. I always put NO TRADES in my listings, yet every other person sends me trade offers. Also, if your stuff is worth so much money then YOU sell it for that much and then buy my stuff. "Yo, bud, I'll trade you $500 worth of music gear for that $300 game. You'll make money". No I won't... I'll have a pile of shitty music gear that Id have trouble selling at all.
I've had the exact opposite problem before. Last year I picked up an extra NES Classic that I decided to sell back in a local collector group that I'm part of. I listed it at retail value, but I wanted to trade for something instead of just sell. I put in my listing that I was only interested in high end PS1 games (which would need to total up to the retail price of the NES Classic). The first dozen or so people messaged me asking me what NES or SNES games I would be interested in and one guy sent a picture of about 4 PSP sports games asking if that would be an even trade. Luckily I eventually made a really good deal with a different member for some great PS1 games that I wanted.
I sold a large lot of star wars pops on eBay last month. It took the guy 5 days to pay and then started to harass me about when I would ship it. Shipped the pops to the address listed a week later he contacts me saying he never received them. I check the tracking numbers and they were delivered 3 days prior and he then opens a case on eBay. Needless to say eBay sides with me and I never heard from him again, blocked the buyer.

What you could've don't is called Ebay and let them know if there is an issue with the sell. Ebay now has strict rules on leaving negative and neutral feedback for anybody quickly. Yeah I know it sucks especially with not being able to giving quick warning to people if the person is a scammer.

We didn't exchange any messages before this about the item. He must've seen my name and address from the return label. What do you think is going through his mind???
I've already blocked him as a buyer and reported harassment through ebay as well, mostly just because since he has my home address, if he actually came to my house, when I called the cops I'd be able to say that i blocked him before. Why are people so weird?

Word. There's another guy that had 117 feedback with a 100% feedback. He was listing "authentic" Mario Party 1, 2, and 3, ALL DAY for $18 a piece shipped. I checked at 8AM Central and 1PM Central. He/She used the same photos and listing for each and probably collected almost $1000 worth of money. I can't believe someone would burn a 100+ feedback acccount.
If you update a block list. Block this fucker. He is a person that cant read, blames me, and I was nice as shit answering his return saying it wouldn't be beneficial for a return since it was 6 dollars and it would cost him since its his mistake 3 dollars to mail back and Id refund 3 of the 6 back since I had to pay shipping originally. So said all that in the nicest way possible trying to help.
They close the return. Thought it was over. A month later they replay saying how rude I was and out of the blue rage and how its my fault for this and that and not saying that different years of this games pieces are different sizes. I put the damn year in the title. I cant hold your hand. I didnt even know. I put the year. Its the first word of the title.
Well after again trying to explain to them rationally the situation, they leave negative feedback and said how I wouldnt accept a return and was rude and had an unclear listing. Just wtf man.

What you could've don't is called Ebay and let them know if there is an issue with the sell. Ebay now has strict rules on leaving negative and neutral feedback for anybody quickly. Yeah I know it sucks especially with not being able to giving quick warning to people if the person is a scammer.
I've already blocked him as a buyer and reported harassment through ebay as well, mostly just because since he has my home address, if he actually came to my house, when I called the cops I'd be able to say that i blocked him before. Why are people so weird?
