Complete NTSC N64 set

I've been considering selling my full N64 set.  I haven't turned on my N64 in over a year and it's just taking up space.  I have 104 manuals, mostly in good condition.  List here.

The entire thing is cased in black cases from Custom Game Cases if that influences anything.

Do you tihnk now would be a good time to sell or would it be better to just hold onto them for awhile longer.

If you sell as a set, I doubt you will get "retail". You will most likely make more parting out the more desireable titles and selling the bulk commons in lots.

Are you trying to go for maximum value?

  • Currently I'm just weighing my options.
  • I'd say keep the high end stuff for now. I feel it still has room to grow. Sell off the junk and you'll have the extra space

I like Bert's suggestion. If you're still into the N64 as a collector, hold onto the rarer stuff for at least a little while and try to sell the junk commons in lots to those looking to fill their collections. You may take a bit of a hit on the value, but that's probably your best shot at moving them in a timely manor.

You're never going to find someone who'll plunk down for all 296 games at full market value. They're going to want a bulk discount.

  • If you're over them, I'd say the good time to sell is March - April as tax returns hit. If you're asking a bigger question of when you think the N64 market will reach it's absolute peak, no one knows and you have no way of timing that perfect. You either decided you want to sell now or keep, and if you do want to sell, then just line up with tax return season.
  • Very true^^ I sold mine last summer was only missing 1 manual, had over 300 titles cib and few variants. Sold to one buyer.

Problem is that so many common titles, hard to sell individually unless they are minty as hell! I would recommend all at once, not a very large library, but hey money talks. So good luck with sale, I'm sure you will have many offers.
