Donkey Kong Country 2 Cassette Soundtrack
Found this little beaut after a trip back home a couple months ago. Its in tip top shape. Don't believe this was ever sold at retail, probably obtained through Nintendo Power Catalog.
I've seen a couple sales for the CD version, last one topped out at about $470? Don't see any involving the cassette at all - couldn't even find a picture of it. It has some nostalgic value to me as it is - DKC 2 is always going to have a special place in my heart. Not sure I'd be up for selling it (yet), but nice to have some sense of value here.

Awwwww... man. I can't speak to the value due to my lack of experience, but god do I wish I had that. Very very nice, easily in my top 3 soundtracks of all time.
Absolutely - actually been listening to the playlist online quite a bit since finding this. Can't beat Stickerbush Symphony...one of the best tunes in any game

Nope, not even close. As someone that has followed VGM for a long long time, the cassette sells for peanuts compared to the CD. If I had to guess, I'd say about $25. But hey, you're welcome to try whatever you want.

I've seen the far less obscure DK Jamz and DKC 3 cassettes selling at the $70-125 range as I was researching a potential value. I do find it interesting that on vgmdb, the CD is in 52 collections and the cassette is only in four. My feeling is the DKC 2 soundtrack as a whole (both CD and cassette) obviously has far less copies out there than their Jamz and DKC 3 counterparts.

Every time I saw the DKC2 Cassette sell, it went for around $25 or less. But, times change, and who knows. I don't know if Nintendo just released fewer DKC2 CDs or if it's because the music is just fab (and it was the best game in the series for sure).
I own a sealed one. The Donkey Kong Country 2 OST is as famous as expensive. I don't know the exact price of it but I suppose not under 200 USD. Anyway, I think that the best way is to put it on eBay and see. I would never sell it anyway, considering that cassettes had the first peak in selling during 2017. They are becoming the new retro trend.
Yeah the cassette revival has been interesting to watch develop. I don't suppose we'll see the same for VHS (as much as I hope to unload the rest of my old sealed tapes lol)...

I've actually personally considered picking up some VHS. It's an interesting type of technology, when compared to the more digital media of today. My primary concern is that overall they're really quite fragile, and incredibly large considering that I could fit a couple thousand movies on a drive the size of a single VHS.
