Can this game be revived?

I found this poor copy of Hamtaro Ham Ham Heartbreak that looks like it met with a flood. I've cleaned it up a bit already, a lot of pcb had flaked off and there was quite a bit more rust and corrosion on it. The way it's looking now, despite my best efforts, I don't think it can be saved. Any suggestions? Should I just find a game with a similar board that I can cannibalize and drop the chips in that? I'd prefer not to have to destroy a game to save one, if that's possible. Are blank GBA homebrew boards a thing yet?

Many thanks for the  help

  • the only problem with doing a chip swap is that most games with this board are somewhat desirable. the cheapest I see that know contains a AGB-E06 is Yu-Gi-Oh! the eternal duelist soul and the one I have isn't even the same board revision (-10 not -20)
  • I've brought back flood damaged games with electrical contact cleaner. Just spray it on the board and watch the gunk fall out. It doesn't always work but it's definitly worth a shot.
  • There are a few places where traces look bad, you'll need to check for continuity with a multimeter and solder a jumper wire to fix any broken ones. The board is really small so it's not going to be easy, so a donor board looks like the best way to approach this, in any case good luck!
